Phil Taylor will begin his attempt to win a 12th World Matchplay title with a tie against ex-air steward Mark Hylton at Blackpool's Winter Gardens in Blackpool next month.
The tournament gets under way on July 16.
The 11-time champion Taylor has a tricky start on his hands against fellow Staffordshire player Hylton.
