If we stay up I'm sure Silva can sign a better player for what we get for him. He blows hot and cold for me. Shoulda scored at ManUre and twice against Liverpool. We need him now but at the end of season whatever Division we are in he can go. He can take his rotten agent with him an all.
He didn't score against Liverpool but he challenged Mignolet in such a way that he dropped the ball for a tap in = massive assist. He is a sniffer and not one to play on his own up top.
I can't understand how many rate Shane Long higher than Hernandez when you can bet your mortgage Abel will score more goals than him.
It sounds like his agent is one of those who are always looking for the next transfer commission cheque, and in doing so he constantly unsettles his client. Like others I would prefer an enthusiastic striker who works their arse off every game and considering Silva was the only PL manager to find Salibur I wouldn't put it past him to find a quality replacement. It would also be good if Bowen continues to get enough games to develop because he has potential.
His agent's a cock, he was banging on about Arsenal being in for Abel just before we signed him and he's been touting him around every window since we got relegated. Based on the things I've seen on various sites this morning, it doesn't seem like too many would be upset if he went.
Harsh on Hernandez I think, he has one of the toughest gigs in football, generally playing lone striker for a side that plays a style utterly against his natural style of play. He looks so much better when we have someone up top to play him off, or else when we play a style that actually sees him receive the ball on the ground. Look at what he did only a few weeks ago to Bournemouth! Whenever he scores he looks so excited and pumped up, similarly when others score. Even seems to sulk less these days when coming off. Would be sad to see him go.
I'm not certain that Abel is 100% a team player tbh or indeed part of the 'squad family' .. just lately when others have scored he seems more then a little reluctant to join in the celebrations .. or is it just me that's noticed it
