I saw it a couple of weeks ago, thought it was excellent. Very funny and kept you interested throughout. Plenty of Hull references as well.
They are indeed, the installation's called Weeping Window and will look a bit like this... please log in to view this image
We've tried it and it's very good. I'd still say Harpers at Wetwang and Fish&Chip Kitchen on Prinny Ave are the finest though.
149 in Brid are the equal of, if not better, than Harpers (in my opinion). Inghams in Filey is pretty decent as well.
Been to 149 a couple of times, very high quality tempered somewhat by eating outside the shop in an unworthy drab location.
To be fair it is a shop mainly for locals and people who take them back to caravan parks.I live a couple of minutes away by car so it is handy for me. Chaos getting parked sonetimes as the former post office a couple of doors away is now a mini mart. The area and road in front is supposedly being altered to cope with the change. Great moment in there when Charles and Camilla popped in and the lass behind the counter asked a bemused Camilla if she wanted scraps. There is a new place, open on good days off season, and all through the summer down on the seafront where the beach huts are underneath where the path starts to go to Sewerby which has just won an award and is very good. A bit pricier than 149 but a pleasant place to sit outside on a sunny day. Locals go a lot, not just holidaymakers, which is always a good sign when they go out of their way to get there.
Had elderly relatives at Sewerby, seems a decent place to retire to. Relatively low key Wessie presence.
There are Wessies there. Just not the loud, obnoxious city dwelling types from Leeds etc that infest a lot of the town.
