I've just been looking at the stats...............gulp!!

They are top of the league by a margin. They have lost once in the last 10 games. They have scored more goals than any other team in the league. They average 2 goals a game. They don't lose at home. Their goal difference is way out in front. What could possibly go wrong.

Perhaps for once we might try to find a few positives. We have beaten them once this season so even if we flop it will be honours even. We have an excellent away record against teams from all reaches of the league this season. We seem to do better against teams in the top few rather than bottom section.

I'm not sure what to make of this one if I'm honest. I suspect most pundits will expect us to lose. I suspect most Donnie fans expect us to lose as they are used to winning games at home. I suspect most Argyle fans will be hoping for something out of this even if it's a draw. Some will be shouting a win from the roof tops no doubt. I keep asking myself what I expect and what I would settle for. I can't say I expect us to win but I can't say I don't expect or would be shocked if we got something out of this. A draw wouldn't be the end of the world as we know it. I will be watching it in a bar. If it starts going tits up I'm in the right place to blot it out.

They've taken 9 points from their last 5 home games, we've taken 9 points from our last 5 aways, with both sides unbeaten in those sequences. We have the joint best defensive record in those 5 aways (with Luton), having conceded only 3 goals. What could possibly go wrong?

If we play well, we can get something from this. If we go missing as we do now and then, we can lose to Leyton Orient and Notts County! It's down to us.

With Gareth "Extra Time" Ainsworth one of the pundits, what could possibly go wrong?:emoticon-0102-bigsm

In all seriousness, we made them look ordinary at Home Park. The pressure is firmly on them and as Distant has pointed out we have one of the best defensive records away from home. Also if I look back I think our form against top sides away from home is pretty good, its when we play weaker teams we tend to go to sleep.

I think a hard thought draw is likely with at least a goal at each end.

At least with that nice Mr Ainsworth on the scene Argyle fans will have someone to blame if it does go tits up. Nice to have a ready made scapegoat.

It's gonna seem strange tomorrow not having a game and all the others playing.

Not a bad set of results today from what I've seen. The gap pretty much remains in double figures. A win tomorrow would be massive though and must be a huge incentive for the Argyle players. Win that and there is 7 left with what would be a 13 point gap and no games in hand. In effect it would be a win every game situation for the others just about anyway.

Just Portsmouth after second position.....which isn't a problem......even if we lose tomorrow Stevenage have only gained one point..... and they need to be doing more than that to be a problem.

Your right sensible a win tomorrow would be massive.....and would give us an incentive to go for the title.

I keep saying this but I do not care one jot what the third team is doing. I don't care if we end up third. I don't want to end up 4th or worse and it's them I care about results wise. The result being massive is about the gap to 4th not catching Doncaster. Get promoted at any cost and let the rest sort itself out.

What a result for you today - Congratulations :emoticon-0148-yes:

Pompey old boy Sonny Bradley scores with your only shot on target - I bet Donnies were shaken to the core !

I reckon automatic promotion for you is almost secured. Just hope we can join you......

I'm still not getting carried away yet. Two more games and maybe but not just yet.

Today though was a massive result for us and a right kick up the ass for that nice Mr Ferguson. I listened to his post match interview and he is as arrogant as his father and as graceless as well. "They will say they came here with a game plan but they didn't. There was only one team playing and wanting it. We had 4 gilt chances which we failed to finish". All very true Darren but you forget to mention our Luke saved those 4 chances which he is actually employed to do. The fact he is very good at it is not totally failure on your players part. The fact that you do not get points for how long you have the ball or how many times you miss that part of the pitch with posts and a net on it. You get points for what you do not what you should have done.

Having watched this game I thought mostly Argyle did really well to defend against a very decent side. They did go there with a plan and Adams said as much before the game not after. This is the plan that has helped us win 12 games away this season. That is not luck. It wasn't pretty but it was effective. We are such a poor side that we have taken all 6 points off the No1 team this season. No matter how many sour grapes Ferguson has about that, and he moaned for England on the other fixture this season as well, he cannot argue with that statistic. Just because his players can't score is no excuse for being a poor loser. I suggest he takes them out onto the practice ground to practice some more. In the meantime I hope there are a few more lucky afternoons between now and the end of the season for us. I never tire watching them fluke results.

MOM for me today has to be Luke.

Thank you Wooperts. (Just remind you what you said about him earlier in the season. Sorry couldn't resist)<ok>

Happy Birthday Plym, did you get a card from the Queen or is that Sensible. .. That result has secured us going up.. now we have to win the league and keep Fergie moaning.. like father like son in that part.. Luke was getting a bit of stick and that inspired him, made some great stops/ Top man,, That is the way to react to the moorons in the crowd, :emoticon-0146-punch
