Brilliant for `GT....... so pleased for him, someone who does all the work finally gets his day in the sun....!!
Apparently, Wiggo is going to try and win another gold medal, at the Tokyo Olympics, but not in cycling.
I love it, 3 weeks wall to wall coverage, aiming to actually get over to follow some of it in a couple of years. One acquaintance goes every year for a week watching and riding the stages, loves it.
It was interesting listening to Froome yesterday. The guy interviewing was asking about how painful the climbs are. He said, that what happens is that one muscle group shuts down (cramping I suppose) another takes on the work until it starts to shut down etc.. I can't imagine the pain they must go through... I have Jens Voigt mantra on my cross bar 'shut up legs' but they dont seem to listen when i'm near the top of what we might consider a big hill and your desperately trying to find a gear or a revolution.
Mods - merge with British Lions / Hull FC / Super Bowl / cricket /F1 threads. Save yourselves the hassle later. Someone will have a problem with it and let you know about it.
Great that Beverley has been chosen as one of the venues for the World Championships next year, its a big deal that..
