Robert Miller, King of the Mountains 1984, is now a bird called Phillips York. He's had one of those sex changes, who'd have guessed?
Full on all day today, that was a hard stage for all involved. Great racing, which kept the GC riders on their toes all day. Froomy still in yellow and the standings in the end as it was when they started. Likely to be some gaps between the GC guys tomorrow, could be a tour defining day.
Well looking forward to tomorrow, 3 HC climbs.....frig me, that's going to blow some holes in some GC contenders
Well, that stage lived up to all it expectations, what a race, both "G" and Richie Porte crashed badly and are out the race. Froome and Aru fall out on the climb, then team up together on the run it. Froome finish 3rd same time as the winner of the stage. Well worth watching on the highlights today if anyone missed it.
Out cycling today near Beighton minding my own business, I heard a rustling on my left, next thing I know, a deer charges out... I **** myself it **** itself.... !!!! It ran along side my bike for about 30 yards and then into a field again... bloody thing!!
Gutted Porte is out, reported he was the main one in halting Aru's piss take attack on froome I'd be ****tingyself down some of those descents at my pace never mind at 75kph, hope he gets well soon
I was up around Castle Howard, Malton and Driffield this morning with plenty of climbing, and got my ride in so I could watch the Tour this afternoon. Knackered when I got back. A deer once nearly wiped me out on my bike going past Allerthorpe wood on the way to Sutton on Derwent.
Same and throw in 6 gels.... I've made a point of putting some money and tablets in my saddle zipper.
