Phil Silvers though. Giant. If it wasn't for Phil would we have ever had Larry David or even Del Boy?
Yep. Ripped the piss out of anyone who's anyone from the sixties onwards. To their face. Died but had a good innings. Decent documentary about him from a few years back floating around on Netflix at the moment.
Steven Wright... I bought some powdered water but I don't know what to add... What's another word for 'Thesaurus'...
Gotta be Gervais for me, saw him live in York a few months ago. I just admire the way he doesn't defend himself for what he says and lets people take offence at his humour. How it should be. Merchant is decent as well. As far as stand up goes, I enjoyed Rowan Atkinson's in the early 80's along with Angus Deyton. Bottom does itself justice every time, Mayall is a legend. I've been lucky enough to see Bill Bailey and Dylan Moran (not together), both were brilliant. As for American things, Aziz Ansari was good in the early 2000s, as was Dave Chappelle. If you haven't seen it, watch his Rick James sketch. And of course, Hicks and Carlin are just smooth as ****.
My lad was watching an American comedian today this afternoon called Louis C.K who, apparently, sells out Madison Square Garden on a regular basis. Thought I'd sit down and enjoy the comedy master class with junior. Neither of us laughed once. Worse than Andy Parsons, yep he was that bad.
Dave Chapelle is dogs mess. Another black comedian who's whole set revolves around rolling out the old 'black stereotype' gags. Bore off.
Boothby Graffoe.... Not his real name, surprise-surprise.. City fan...He's ace. Denis Leary..Not a City fan, but very funny..
Bloody sod yer then! Agoraphobic skinhead, "Oi you, inside!" The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
