Perhaps he had injured himself in an incident nobody saw (again)?

I think in all fairness, and based on the different comments and opinions,

we should settle on it being the first game of season, and we had more than one player who can be said to have contributed to Burnley's goal, after all, in any match there's always more than 1 player contributing to leaking a goal against 99% of time.

For whatever faults the game had, it was a good fast paced game to watch and gives a clear indication of what Roslers intentions are.

it was probably wooton he is useless and we brought him on in 2nd half remember last season
and all the goals let in well WOOTON was at the heart of defence and went missing alot he probably went missing again !!

Given that Wooton was still on the bench when Burnley scored, I think it would be very harsh indeed to blame him for the equaliser. As I said in my response to WJ's post, the player sauntering back had a number 2 on his shirt, and it looked like it was a double figure number and of all those who were ON THE PITCH at the time, Cook is the only one that it could have possibly been, as all the others are easily identifiable within the video when the goal was scored.

As a final aside Wooton played 21 times for us last season, the majority of which were at right back, in which a total of 23 goals were conceded for an average of 1.09 goals per game. Given that we conceded a total of 61 goals, that means when Wooton didnt play we conceded 38 goals in 25 games for an average of 1.52 goals conceded per game. Whilst I don't rate Wooton myself and never have done, even prior to us signing him, to put the whole blame on him for our defensive issues seems a bit extreme.

Attempt missed. Sam Vokes (Burnley) right footed shot from the centre of the box is close, but misses to the right.

    85:27Goal scored
    Goal!Goal! Leeds
United 1, Burnley 1. Sam Vokes (Burnley) header from the centre of the box to the top left corner. Assisted by Tendayi Darikwa with a cross.

Still dont see how you can blame Wooton when he didnt get on the pitch until 3 1/2 minutes after the goal was scored

From that video you posted Armfield played the ball to Darikwa on the wing, Cook had initially gone to challenge Armfield. As Darikwa receives the ball Antenucci moves to close him down. Darikwa plays it to Boyd, Cook is right behind Boyd as he receives the ball. Boyd then skips past both Cook and Antenucci, and moves down the line towards Taylor. Antenucci tracks back to help Taylor, at which time Boyd plays the ball back to Darikwa, who at this stage together with Armfield have both moved past Cook, who is basically just jogging between both players, so I'm not sure where you are seeing Wooton in that move

At the time of posting, I thought it as Cook, but couldn't be sure. This was purely based on recognising his stature & style of movement, which I've relied on heavily over the years due to my poor eyesight (rectified by laser, but the 'skill' is retained).

I think it was Cook too WJ, it looked like him, even from a distance.

It was possibly that lethargy that got him subbed. He & Mowatt do tend to fade, which is commonplace when so young. Perhaps we should be subbing them much earlier.

Maybe hes on the Middlesborough board, why don't you go look for him there :)

And do you still hold Wooton responsible for Burnleys equaliser at the weekend ?
