Yesterday (May19) the mighty Frankel stepped out for the first time since October last year, and blasted his way to a very impressive win in the G1 Lockinge Stakes. I sat mesmerized by the sheer brilliance of the horse, as he sat on the leader, just waiting to pounce. And that he did. As those around him were being asked for their supreme efforts, by riders desperate to extract that last ounce of effort, Frankel was still under double wraps. He was bolting. When let loose, the monster exploded clear
Life is a wonderful thing, you just never know what's around the corner. Today I was sitting next to a river that passes a shopping centre called The Big Top which is located in Maroochydore, when from out of the blue, on the far side of the narrow river, a scruffy looking, shirtless man carrying a plastic bag, came scampering around the corner. In South East Queensland, there is a place called the Scenic Rim, it's just outside Brisbane. A rather nice day can be had cruising the area. The centre of the place is a small town called Boonah. Many in the burg, about a 100ks of Brisbane, are attracted by the ideals of those who lived the 60s and 70s. They are hippie like ferals, the salt of the earth. But be not taken in by their pleasant demeanour, they can be quite feisty.
Today at one of the local takeaways, a ****** walked
