I wouldn't say that 2-0 is a good result but looking at the team sheet it's the least I expected. It could have been worse. We need our key players back if we're going to pick up points.
Cesare Prandelli, Edy Reja, Thomas Schaaf, Roberto Mancini, Frank de Boer just for starters. Just because you've never heard of them doesn't mean that they're not better than Moyes. Some of them won't be suitable but the point is that there are plenty of experienced managers out there who could do no worse, if not better, than Moyes.
Don't pass him over to us! He never says anything about Newcastle or posts on our board. He's more likely to just be a generic miserable bastard who looks for things to whinge about - millions of those around.
Its still any three from the bottom four, one win and we are back in the mix, but it needs to come soon.
I wonder how many other other of our rated academy players would be able to emulate him if given a chance - I fear this will not happen here due to Moyes reluctance to give them head Most he has tried have done well - if they are not tried they'll never progress and so wasted. to those who disagree with this view
Awful again. We never seem to concede 1 we concede in blocks it was 2 in 6 mins today 3 in 15 mins last week. We always do this and it means games are over early. We haven't even been competitive in 2 games we should have targeted points from. We play grim football. It's all well and good having Defoe but if we can't create chances for him he becomes null and void. Still tho we are only 3 points from safety and there is always hope. We've been in worse and came out ok so I'm still clinging on to hope. We have winnable games between now and the end of the season so it can be done but I would say I'm hopeful rather than optimistic.
Doh - we have a whole team either injured or away on ACON duty. Both goals were defensive mistakes. We played better in the second half and Honeyman had a good debut.
Agree about injuries and players away. Didn't watch the game heard it on the radio which to be fair seemed like punishment enough. Sounded like we gave it a bit of a go second half but never threatened and certainty never seemed capable of getting back into the game. I just want us to be competitive against most teams in the division. I don't mind getting beat but would like to feel we are capable of getting a result which I never felt we could today from the minute we went one down. Yeah the players aren't good enough I get that but I would say most championship sides would have given that a better go than we did today. Also as I said above I've far from given up
