The worst side in The Championship apart from Rotherham are Bristol City. How they got so many early points is anyones guess. They have been garbage since losing to us at home. 2 good players. One is fat and not the sort you want in a battle and a loanee who is injured and busy crashing cars.

Blackburn are just a mess with their owners.

Burton are battling and picking up a few win while Wolves look in a right mess.

Wigan another poor side and in the drop zone.

Im going for Blackburn and Bristol City.

    Not us! ! ! ! !

Interestingly we've scored more points in 2017 than any other championship club.

Blackburn doing ok against manure. Conway looking sharp.

There are a few teams being dragged into a scrap in the bottom half that you wouldn't have thought a couple months ago.

Villa have stalled after showing promise when Bruce took over. Brum were mad to sack their manager and are reaping the rewards now. could see them slipping to relegation.

Birmingham on current form are as bad as Bristol City.
Woves v Birmingham next I think - pressure game for both those 2.
I think Birmingham have enough points in the bank. 2 wins should keep them safe.

Outside the current bottom 6 I think Forest are prime candidates for the drop. They are clueless at the moment and the off field issues aren't helping.

I could never understand the Wurzels' early season form - they never looked particularly good to me even though they got the results and since then they've bombed.

Wigan and Blackburn have a lot to do to escape but they are better sides than both those clubs above.

As a longer shot, I'd take Forest and Bristol City to join Rotherham in League 1 next season.

I just had to look........<laugh> but Forest are 9/2 and the Wurzels 5/1 to go down. I had a fiver on the Wurzels when they were still top half and 40/1 to go down to return me £205. The cash out on that fiver bet currently stands at £23 - I think I'll hang in there.

Forest and Brizzle for me. Hope Brizzle dont go through the trap door really, as its a guaranteed 6 points for us.

It's too early to predict; a few more rounds of games and it should become clearer.

The same can be said for the PL.

Don't be such a killjoy Nin - just because your top 6 dark horse choice was Bristol City........<laugh>

It's never too eary to have a chat about it - it's what makes a football forum what it should be.

You could say it's too early with just half a dozen games to go, but by then it would probably be pretty obvious and not worth discussing.

Before Warnock was mentioned by anyone other than us lot on here, I wanted Potato Head to come to us when Trollope got the boot. He's a manager in the Warnock mould but decided to take on a lot of baggage at Villa.

Don't know if we ever enquired about him because Dalman said they only ever wanted Colin at Cardiff - maybe we asked and he thought we weren't a "big enough club"?

Bristol's position made precarious by Abraham's return to Chelsea for a while.
They'd be worse off than Rotherham without his goals!

I also thought BC would be a dark horse, their capitulation after a great start has been quite incredible.

I did however also say that Villa would be rubbish and nearer the bottom than the top of the division. I'm declaring that a 50% success rate...... I'm also really glad I was wrong about the wurzels! <laugh>

Wonder if they will get someone new in before they play us?

    Dead cat bounce?

I think the Wurzels fate depends on how long they stick with the manager. Get rid now and bring in someone who can motivate could bring an improvement. However, the loss of Abrahams for longer than a couple of weeks will have a real negative effect.

I am embarrassed by my 2 dark horse predictions for top 6 (Villa & Bristol)<doh>

Another good point for Burton last night. Hope they stay up.

OK, Burton didn't score last night but noticed that they didn't concede 3 goals either.

Maybe Derby have got some good attacking players but Burton were capable of shutting them out and we didn't.

....also noticed another good win for Huddersfield beating Reading last night.........<whistle>

I see Tony Mowbray is taking over at Blackburn. Did well in the Championship with WBA and okay at Middlesboro but last seen at Coventry. <yikes>

That apart he has a track record of getting sides to avoid relegation. Could be a tough ask this time with the Venky's in charge.

I'd have thought they'd have gone for Slade - he's doing a grand job at Coventry.

But they would have to buy him from Coventry. Mowbray is free. Those Venky's know how to save a bob or two!!!! <whistle>

The way Cov are going they'd probably pay the Venkys to take him.

He was a walking disaster at Charlton and I couldn't understand SISU jumping in for him. There again that's the measure of poor owners like Dutchalet at Charlton, SISU at Coventry and the Venkys at Blackburn - they all deserve what they get.

The same could be said for VT until he had his moment of enlightenment. :emoticon-0184-tmi:
