Town travel to Port Vale on Friday night for what could be a crucial game for both teams. The last two Town games should have helped us secure league one safety, however we're now down to nine games left and Vale on Friday is more important than ever. Thankfully Port Vale have had three games this week compared to our two.

Town appear to not have any injury problems bar the long term Ogogo. Lancashire and AJLS played midweek in the SSC. So Hurst should be able to pick his ideal squad to start the game. Vale have defenders Knopps and Tanser potentially injured alongside several other players who might not be fit enough.

Three points on Friday would definitely feel like six as it puts distance between us and the lower clubs. Let's hope Town are up for it and Vale are tired from their Tuesday game..

A very damaging defeat and we are right back in the mire (and not playing well at the moment). Two very poor goals given away. I cannot see how Payne rates a start ahead of Ladapo whose pace and movement are always a threat or over Humphreys. The lack of depth in midfield has really hurt us with Ogogo's cruel injury. Looks like it is going to be a lot tighter than we thought a couple of weeks ago but surely Hurst can get us over the line and rebuild in this division next year.

Yep, Ogogo is sadly showing up as a hole in our midfield.

The game was a crucial and yet another one where we have not played well. Three in a row now, bar a high shots rate at Chesterfield. We have some big teams coming up and knowing Shrewsbury we'll probably play well against them!

Bolton are already two - nil up at Oxford tonight and are scoring goals for fun (especially from set-pieces). Will be going Saturday to support the lads but I fear we could be heading for a drubbing.

Le Fondre was taken off injured in the first half, so clutching at straws might mean he's not available on Saturday!

    Happily Coventry beat Vale tonight.

They have now scored four goals in each of their last three away games (and conceded only two in total I think) so it will be an upset if we get anything from this game.

It will definitely be a tough game to witness, hopefully the ref is a good one.
