14/03/2017 : I watched Pedro Caixinha's interviews on Rangers' website and on YouTube yesterday. PC continues the methodical and organised approach we had from Team MW, but with a more flexible approach to playing the game.
Hopefully we have got the best of both worlds here.

Seriously, doubt he'll last a year.

Normally when a new manager comes in, you get a spike in performances, not one **** is playing better so it's time to say thanks but no thanks, bite the bullet and get Lennon in.

Apologies in advance for this as it became a bit of a rant and I know it's way too long.

I wasn't on here much when Pedro got appointed. I was one of the folk who thought it was maybe a bit stupid at the time. My shout was actually for the St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright who I felt would sort us out domestically and he's done a great job up in Perth. You back the manager the club appoints though don't you?

I felt sorry for Warburton and the way he left was just another stupid spectacle . He'd lost arguably his three most important signings for the season early doors (the Croat, Rossiter and the mad bam) through injury and ego. We started the season really badly, we looked slow. One of my Celtic supporting mates watched the opening game with me and asked what had happened to us as it was our pace that really caused them problems in the semi-final. It was only when Warbs started playing the guys from his first season like Holt and Halliday that we picked up in the middle of the park and results got better. It became increasingly obviously though that Mark had no plan B. After Xmas it got really dire Halliday seemed to lose the plot as did a lot of other players. Big Hill, the keeper and Miller were the only ones keeping it together and showing any consistency.

Murty comes in and does a decent job keeping it together. He gets our best result of the season against Celtic and his wee run in charge was in stark contrast to our last caretaker/walking shambles, Kenny McDowell. If for some bizarre reason they had decided to appoint him full time it wouldn't have bothered me that much. He was at least tactically aware and shored up the defence better than our two actual bosses last term.

Pedro comes in and starts talking and talking and talking. He gibbered on and on and I'm thinking who is this unknown Portuguese Joey Barton guy. He did make a couple of really good points, but they were lost in all the garbage about the best squad in Scotland<laugh> (which he then dismantles), what he'd win, green boots blah, blah, blah. He was a Godsend to the dying print industry who keep all the ****e going perpetually. It's funny how they turned on Warburton. In his first season he was revered by them in much the same way Rodgers is at Celtic at present. I find it kind of amusing listening to them prattle on as neither Warbs or Rodgers are anywhere near as intelligent as either of them think themselves. Pedro didn't get that luxury (neither did Ronnie, PLG, Doc Venglas) and seemed clueless, giving out the team the day before Kilmarnock to the press being one belter. He starts slagging of McInnes who would have put out a shadow side against us as they were going into the cup final. They beat for the first time in donkey's years at Ibrox because he riles them up. He's a dick.

He sets about building a new team. He loses Clint Hill probably our best defender last season. I can understand it because of his age it reminded me of the time when Warbs sold McGregor to Hibs and replaced him with Kiernan agh!!!! At least he put Kiernan on it. Forrester is a bit of a waste of time so i agreed with that. Halliday has been pish for a while, but I would have given him more time considering his previous. O'Halloran I feel a bit sorry for in that he was never really given a chance by either manager and I think he's potentially a decent player. I liked Garner, but he was a bit of a liability with constant yellows. Mackay, well that's just ****ed up. Totally ****ed up actually and to replace him with this wee stupid hairdo youth guy on loan is ludicrous.

Of his signings Jack will be good and so should Alves. I'm pleased Dorrans is coming. The wee guy that scores lots of goals hope it works, but remember Nicky Clarke scored more goals than him when we bought him from QOTS. Dalcio's got no chance of winning over the fans he should just send him back just now. The young centre back looked sort of okay in the first leg, but I would rather see Danny Wilson with Alves. The big Ted McMinn winger from Portugal was unnecessary in that we had an untried O'Halloran. I hold little hope of the Mexicans getting it together. He is trying to address the spine of the team though which is important. I liked the fact that he was going for Walker at Hearts if he gets him I will sort of forgive him for wee Barry going to Forest. McLean would be a good signing too. It will help that McInnes has worked with some of the squad before:emoticon-0100-smile

The shambles in Europe takes the biscuit though. <steam>It is our worst ever result. Then he's standing in a bush talking pish:emoticon-0127-lipss At least he took the responsibility for it. I don't know where he goes from here though. I'd like them to sack him, but that would be stupid as he has just brought in these new players and he'd no doubt be the latest to make a fortune. Our mission statement should be Wealth for the mediocre. I'd rather have Warburton, Murty or even McCoist actualIy.

I hope I'm proven completely wrong about Pedro and his Mexiguese. I hope that Baz,Aldo,Trevor Gambol cut and paste bits of this pish to me to wind me up in months to come. I'm not too optimistic about it though I think it's a case of style over substance with our manager. I keep telling myself football is cyclical <peacedove>

Can't really disagree with anything you say, Moses.

Another bizarre situation we find ourselves in and fk knows where they pulled this guy from? Track record isn't great and has zero knowledge of Scottish football other than knowing that we are the people.

He needs to go now, he has lost the fans other than the uber-staunch who will stick by him because others won't. He came in and nothing got better and going by the last two performaces vs a team with 9 new players, then nothing has improved since he came in and we've lost our best player (McKay)

All the board are doing is delaying the inevitable, get him to fk NOW!

To be fair Mo you are spot on.

The only thing you missed out on are the fandans responsible for this carnage. Dave King and the board need a good doing. We were told they were taking their time to bring in the best possible candidate and then they come up with El Pedro, WT ACTUAL F!

They then tell us they will bring in an assistant who knows Rangers and Scottish football to help out Pedro. Who do they give the job to?

Finnish flyboy JJ. Again what the ****? He's from ****ing Finland, he played two seasons with Rangers ten years ago ffs.

I wish these ****s at Ibrox would just stop making us a ****ing laughing stock i really do. Unfortunately i cant see that happening any time soon.

One game down and Pedro had a mare. He took Hodson off and left the Candeias on when it was obvious to any **** with any eyes that Candeias was leaving his right back exposed because he's a lazy bastard.

He took Miller off and put Wilson on, went to a back 3 and left Herrera up front himself. Given the fact that the Kingston bridge is more mobile than Herrera this allowed Motherwell to take a defender off and bring on another striker. He invited Motherwell to come and have as many chances as they wanted in the last 15 minutes.

I fear for the rest of the season if today is anything to go by.

26/10/2017 : The SSN report (TV) today said that Dave King had no input on the appointment of Pedro Caixinha, although we can have no doubt that DK had input into PC's dismissal. Just 7 months points to a lack of time given to Pedro, but the demand for results (and maybe the background ongoings too) has led to PC's sacking today, along with his backroom staff. It will have to be viewed as an experiment that failed, although it has and probably will be argued that it was never given time to succeed.
