"I'm fully behind Labour’s plans to deliver a better deal for clubs and fans alike. Corbyn will ensure 5% of the Premier League’s domestic and international television rights income goes to the grassroots game." -Neville Southall Must be worth voting for? Labour plans to commit 5% of football’s TV £8.3billion broadcasting revenue back into the grassroots game
Unfortunately a sad comment from an obviously sad person - we have had nothing but sly digs, and attempts at cheap humour (at others expense), since he started posting on here. This is the reason we appear to side up against him, it has nothing to do with his politics.
A joke at someone else's expense though. Lots of humour on these boards you will know that...... You cant bash someone one post and then say you are joking next post.......
Sixty thousand pounds is the average donation to the Tories in the last two weeks. . For Labour the average online donation is £22 If funding by self-interested parties wins elections it is morally wrong. As is the fact that most of the media are owned by Tory voters..
Which probably explains why this sort of pertinent research rarely sees the light of day in msm - thirty thousand excess deaths in one single year linked to cuts in in health and social care... http://www.ox.ac.uk/news/2017-02-20...aths-2015-linked-cuts-health-and-social-care# The cynic in me says that it's little wonder really - the Tories are desperately trying to sell off the NHS to the likes of Kaiser Parmanente, whose style of health 'cover' insurance targets only those in work...
Water off a duck's back Yorkie. He has, of course, not right to make any conclusions about the person behind the user name. But it is water off a duck's back anyway - because if I truly lived in a 1950s prefab house I would not feel ashamed of it. Just as if I lived in a million pound house I would not feel the need to boast about it on here.
An interesting and surely worrying vlog on Theresa May and the Naylor Report - worth ten minutes of anyone's time.
"We can reassure Mrs Merkel that we want to have a deep and special partnership so that we can continue to maintain European-wide security to keep us all safe from the terrorists abroad and those that are trying to be nurtured in our country." Amber Rudd today. UK police and security services consulted the SIS II database over half a billion times in 2016 - equivalent to 16 checks a second. Access to the system is open only to countries who are under the legal jurisdiction of the ECJ. Something else to negotiate over
I would have thought the idea of everybody living in Russian style basic accommodation with all ideas of personal advancement banned, would have appealed to you. Everybody would be on the same level except of course the controlling party officials who would naturally share the perks amongst themselves.
Other than the fact that there were no homeless people in the USSR. I find little in that model which appeals to me - and you have understood little of my politics if you think that to be the case. But, I repeat - the conditions under which I live have no relevence to my arguments here - whether Prince or Pauper, they are equally valid. Also, I see 'personal advancement' in a completely different way to yourself - you see it in purely material terms, I don't.
How about a discussion on the environmental policies of major parties? Friends of the Earth evaluation of the manifestos: Very interested to see just a sliver of difference in three parties... and the Tory party really uncommitted in so many areas
Also rather surprising to see those to do with agriculture - can other parties (ie. Labour and/or Lib Dems) really outscore the Greens on farming policy ? According to this both bees and climate refugees would be more likely to vote Labour than Green ? How, also, can the halving of food waste not be a central Green issue ?
