Not a bad start for the 'new' team. Unbeaten and with a defence that appears to have some idea of what to do.
Not being unkind as this is Ade's chance to stamp his mark on the team but things seem to be going in the right direction at this stage and a young, hungry team with no 'celebrities' or 'bags of cement' (at this time) augers well for the future.
It has been a frustrating time since those heady days of 19 months ago.......
    Come on you Gills.

    Absolutely, however, a brb tale...

Some seasons back I went to watch a West Ham team play a pre season game, my judgement at the time was they were rubbish and primed for relegation..

The moral of this story is that West Ham went on to have a blinder of a season...

    So what does that mean...

Well, it could mean that pre season counts for nothing OR brb knows nothing about football <laugh>

Alwaysright, peg leg and grumpygit along with Cody and Joe Martin need not reply!

Any relation this story bears with Hereford is purely coincidental <whistle>

As brb has asked so nicely I will refrain from mentioning brb's last pre-seasons comments, equally I will refrain from raising the subject of the most un-miss able game in recent history.
Ipswich looked to be the better team for large parts of the game, they had plenty of possession and passed the ball around nicely, however, our defensive shape and fitness levels restricted them to very few clear cut chances. We did look good on occasion when moving forward, quick one touch football was getting us up the field very quickly. Overall the team looks better organised than last season and whilst I don't think we will run away with the league, I am expecting a better season than last year.

I always like it when the expectations are not high, things tend to work out better. Afterall whoever expected Mad Dog would lift the L2 title with the squad he had assembled, not me for sure that i can remember of pre season. Although I clearly remember laughing at him about smashing L1....the difference in the two contrasting expectations.

You could never fault 'Mad Dog's' enthusiasm or ability to connect with the fans.......
