    I'm sure you aren't Castro but it's getting like it.
    Pennocks remit was to produce players for the first team.
    Bruce sat down with him and told him what he wants.

    “Of course, we mean no disrespect to the likes of Gateshead, Grimsby and Scunthorpe because there is no disgrace in playing those teams, but if we want to progress at Academy level then we needed that Category Two status in order to test our young players against better players and better teams.

    “Credit must go to the owners as well because the club has invested heavily in its bid to achieve just that and, as a result, the first building blocks are in place. I’m pleased to say the owners have shared my vision for the Academy and it’s vitally important that this area starts to produce footballers instead of Rugby players.

    On the basis of Bruce saying we needed a better academy, you've decided he also picked the players we signed?

    Pennock ran the academy, he was responsible for signings. FACT.

    I think Pennock achieved a great deal in the relatively short time he ran our academy, I think he deserves the credit for that now there's players coming through, rather than people making stuff up to try and credit someone else.

    Bruce got the Allams to invest in the academy. It was getting going when they brought pennock in.
    To kickstart it we needed to bring in outsiders rather than through the ranks. That's why Ternent got Bowen and a few others. People,like olley Edwards etc came in too as on the whole our homegrown weren't good enough. Tymon apart.
    Pennock has done a great job with the academy. Beatles continuing it. But they can do **** all without the raw materials.

    Bruce deserves credit for pushing for an improved academy and brining in Pennock to deliver it.

    Pennock deserves the credit for delivering it, as Bruce didn't sign academy players.

    From FIFA website = Match suspensions in relation to an expulsion pronounced on a player outside of a competition (separate match[es]) or not served during the competition for which they were intended (elimination or the last match in the competition) are carried over as follows: friendly matches: carried over to the representative team’s next friendly match.

    So the player who got a red card is suspended for the next friendly match.
