I haven't posted anything except the newer stuff that I didn't have on vinyl mate. I haven't even started yet Agonisingly slow I know You sure you want me to take you there??????
Well ahead for it's time in 1992, one of the pioneers of darkness Doc Scott with a remix of here come the drums...
If you insist I got a copy of this that was thrown into the crowd during a rave. Never had this tune on wax, sadly. Have it on MP3 though, happily.
Give me your thoughts on that Rawtekk track. I don't normally like that neurofunk style but love the vocals here.
Had this rare yellow one too. Can't seem to find Somebody Always Dies posted though, I've forgotten what it sounds like now but remember playing it a lot. Future engineers are just that, very pioneering in their sound and laid the groundwork for a shift in styles.
Well I started going out raving mid 1991, by the end of 92 to early 93 having been to all the big names such as Universe, Fantazia, Obsession, Dreamascape, Vision to name just a few I though id seen it all. No way, in 1994 my crew went down to Lydd to go to my 1st World Dance party, better late then never. To this day I still think this was the best rave I ever went to, everyone I know who went to this party agree with me. There was something special in the air that night. It was an indoor beach party theme and once there you could tell a lot of time and money had gone into the production of this rave. The main hanger had been covered in sand and beach balls were being punched up in the air. This was also at a time when the the music had split into drum and bass/jungle and the bloody awful so called happy hardcore. Anyway Dr S Gachet was 1st up with a warm up set and boy did he get the crowd rocking and up for it. the 1st half of this set was a mix of popular anthems and then BANG. The second half MC GQ came on the mic and Gachet played some dirty dirty Jungle. I have never heard so much noise from a crowd in all my raving life, you can see what I'm going on about at the end of this set if you get time to listen. please log in to view this image
As you can see from the majority of my selections I'm about a year behind you. First started buying vinyl in '92 right before the musical split. Back then most DJ's were similar, if it was a good tune. you played it. Definitely followed the DnB path, more intelligent than real jungle but of course I played most stuff. My peak was 93,94,95. Dreamscapes at The Sanctuary, Dance Paradise in Great Yarmouth (being an Ipswich boy and all that) and Clacton. I remember a big rave in the Wembley exhibition halls, new years eve '94, maybe a Jungle Fever was a good one. Used to hit illegals in the forests of Suffolk/Norfolk. Last big gig was Dreamscape 20, the outdoor event.
