I don't think TV are allowed to show 3pm kick offs on a Saturday live (except FA Cup final, (back in them days))
Good Luck to Gateshead! One thing they will do today is entertain the viewers. They almost without doubt play the best brand of football in this division. Come the Head!!!!
Gutted that plan A didnt work. But we have plan B with the play offs. Well done to Barnet. I dont like how you won it but you won it nonetheless. Too many draws for us.
That goal at Dover was pretty costly! Anyway, today's game was a great way to prepare for the playoffs.
At 3 nil, it was obvious that we wouldnt have lost the game. I would have made changes then to rest 3 keys players in case we were to end in the play offs as the 1st leg was game is due Wednesday. When we were 1 up, fans singing "we're gonna win the league" frustrated the hell out of me. Always comes back to bite you in the ass. Then fans singing "wembley" when we havent even got through the legs! frustrated.
No they're not. They've done us once. We should have won at their place. It'll be close, but we've got enough in the tank to get past them. And we've got DC...
Mind you, when we played them both times this season they were both early in the season. I agree we should have won a their place but we were still finding our feet, wasnt ot Cunningtons 1st game as well? And the defeat at home sent us on a massive unbeaten run. We have improved and grew a lot since then. However, it is a banana skin game. They have nothing to fear and nothing to lose. We have to get through and the pressure is on us to do so.
I'm relieved we're not playing Eastleigh. They destroyed us at the Mem and have been in top form recently with some top players at Conference level. Great performance yesterday though from start to finish. It was a very professional job and seven good goals. As bad as Alfreton were, it's never nice to see a team relegated and I felt for them a little when their players walked off at the end.
Yep, as we know it is never nice to be relegated- something we have seen a little too much of lately. They were a noisy bunch though (possibly the best away fans I have seen at the mem this season) and I wish them well for next season
I'm not confident playing FGR. My head says we should do it but after what happened last year and now at Dover, I have a bad, bad feeling about the next 2/3 games.
We should of beat them (FGR) away and they weren't particular that good against us at The Mem would rather be playing them then Eastleigh IMO
It's going to take three massive performances whoever we play. Form's pretty important, but at the end of the day it's about who wants it more and who can keep their heads on the day.
