Don't think so. Rosie is / was loyal to the club and deserved better.

This decision does'nt make sense unless we are going to play 3-5-2 irrespective of who we play, surely certain games you have to change your style of play and rosie is a far better fullback than elmo in a 4-4-2 system, with elmo playing right midfield in front of him.

We don't see these players train. There is a reason he hasn't been playing at all. You can be as loyal as you want but if he is not going to play why do you offer someone a new contract just because they are a nice bloke and my pitch in with a few appearances off the bench

But surely he would have more regular starts in the championship? Maybe championship is his level and I suspect he will be snapped up by another championship club and have a good season for whoever. Just hope its not TWS!

I can only imagine he's refused to sign a new contract after being overlooked and underplayed during his time here. What the actual **** is this decision about. ****ing moronic club. ****ers.

Bruce has made many ****ing dreadful decisions as manager but I'd say this is probably his worst yet. Rosie will not be on big wages and Bruce's ridiculous obsession with 3-5-2 combined with his love for Elmo means that we now have extremely limited options on the right. If Elmo gets injured who will play RB? Who are we going to get that will be as good or better than Rosie for free? He is a fantastic professional and a very good defender, especially at Championship level. I was hoping that he'd finish his career here and stay on as a coach, maybe even becoming manager at some point, but obviously now that looks very unlikely. I'm pissed off that my favourite player is leaving the club, and if Quinn/Macca aren't offered contracts as well I'll be furious with Bruce.

I didnt want to read too much into it at the time but McShane and Rosenior were both waving (as if goodbye) whilst the others were applauding after the game on Sunday.

Elmo isn't and never will be a RB. He can't defend for toffee and as a RWB needs someone solid behind him to keep our defense from being constantly exploited down that flank. What this has done - unless we sign another RB - is limit our formation to 3-5-2 instead of us having an option of 4-4-2.

Thsat will be after a discussion with Rosenior.
Bruce: I cant guarantee you first choice as such any contract will be greatly reduced.

Rosey: I'd like to look for a new club where i will be first choice(with more money) Gaffer.

    Shakes hands and over.

Chester has been playing right back more than him. We need to trim our squad. As much as I like Rosenior he is easy too offload, it makes perfect sense. To me it suggests elmo is staying. Given the choice I'd take that. Rosenior has been great for the club and for that I thank him, he deserves first team football and I wish him well.

Presumably we'll find out in due course.

I don't think for a minute this was his decision.

Got to say this a crazy decision why let a committed player leave the club when there are more than a few that need pushing out.
    Bad decision

Maybe he wanted to be released? Hasn't he just finished his badges? Maybe he wants to go into coaching.

He hasn't played much because of the preference for 352.

Which has worked out bloody brilliantly hasn't it?

The attack has been **** all season, we go down with a respectable defence as evidenced by the goal difference and the first thing we do is release defenders. Unbelievable.

The challenge this summer was always going to be sorting out the attack, we really don't need to give ourselves an extra job by getting rid of great players on a free. No chance we'll get someone as good for free.
