SGP star Maciej Janowski is the new Polish champion after ending a night of second places with the biggest win of his career in Gorzow on Sunday evening.
Magic has established himself as Polish No.1 in the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series this season in the absence of the injured Jaroslaw Hampel. And he cemented that reputation with victory in the final over local hero Bartosz Zmarzlik. Gorzow’s Tomasz Gapinski was third with former SGP rider Janusz Kolodziej fourth.

Antonio Lindback is Swedish champion for the first time after seeing off SGP star Andreas Jonsson in a titanic tussle in Hallstavik.
The Rio Rocket topped the qualifying scorechart on 14 points, inflicting Jonsson’s only defeat of the heat races to earn an automatic place in the final and first pick of gates. He then got the better of AJ on his Elitserien home track again in the final to pull off one of the most famous victories of his career to date.
Lindback’s success is no surprise. He has started the season in red-hot form and played a key role in Sweden’s Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup triumph at Vojens in June. He also finished third in last Saturday’s Swedish SGP in Malilla.
He is now hotly-tipped to power through the GP Challenge in Rybnik on September 5 to seal a World Championship comeback for 2016.
Six-time champion Jonsson was forced to make do with silver, while Peter Ljung bagged bronze ahead of Joonas Kylmakorpi in the final after qualifying by snatching victory in the semi. This was after he just scraped into the race on nine points

Newcastle and King’s Lynn rider Lewis Kerr has been flown by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge after an horrific crash in Sunday’s Premier League Fours at Peterborough.
The accident took place in Heat 3 of the Final and Kerr, who was representing Newcastle, was treated at the track for more than an hour prior to leaving the venue in the air ambulance.
The meeting was abandoned by SCB referee Stuart Wilson whilst treatment was taking place, with total agreement of all team managers and riders present.
BSPA Chairman Alex Harkess said: “Lewis is in a stable condition and is in the very best place for care and attention.

Horsens winner Peter Kildemand and Polish international Bartosz Zmarzlik have a golden opportunity to secure FIM Speedway Grand Prix berths for 2016 after being handed wild cards for the GP Challenge at Rybnik on September 5.
Kildemand missed out on a place in the line-up after crashing out of his semi-final in Riga in June, while Zmarzlik fell short in the Polish Golden Helmet Final – the meeting used to decide his country’s entrants for the international qualifiers.
But Kildemand has certainly proved his SGP credentials. He triumphed in Saturday’s Kjærgaard Danish SGP and also bagged third place at the Adrian Flux British SGP in Cardiff on July 4.
Zmarzlik is also an SGP winner, having triumphed on home shale at the Gorzow SGP last summer. He also made his Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup debut for Poland as they claimed bronze at Vojens in June.
Both men will be among the favourites for qualification along with Sweden’s Antonio Lindback, Polish brothers Przemyslaw and Piotr Pawlicki and Chris Harris, the sole full-time SGP rider in the meeting.
GP CHALLENGE DRAW: 1. Vaclav Milik, 2. Przemyslaw Pawlicki, 3. Kim Nilsson, 4. Maksims Bogdanovs, 5. Nicolas Covatti, 6. Peter Kildemand, 7. Piotr Pawlicki, 8. Linus Sundstrom, 9. Antonio Lindback, 10. Leon Madsen, 11. Andrei Karpov, 12. Kacper Gomolski, 13. Bartosz Zmarzlik, 14. Fredrik Lindgren, 15. Kasts Puodzuks, 16. Chris Harris. Reserves: 17. Kevin Wolbert, 18. Martin Vaculik.

Great Britain Under 21s saw their World Team Cup dreams ended for another year despite a brave effort in Gustrow, Germany.
Neil Vatcher's quartet put in a determined effort in their semi-final before falling just short of a top two finish which would have seen them progress to the final.
With Denmark storming to victory on 47 points and Finland struggling to make an impression, Great Britain became embroiled in a fierce battle with Germany for second place.
They were just three points behind the hosts as Kyle Howarth went as a joker in heat 12, but he touched the tapes as Germany - also playing their joker - took victory to ensure they regained the upper hand
DENMARK 47, GERMANY 40, GREAT BRITAIN 30 (Adam Ellis 12, Josh Bates 8, Kyle Howarth 7, Stefan Nielsen 3), FINLAND 6.

Niels-Kristian Iversen stormed to a sensational fourth straight Danish Championship after overhauling Nicki Pedersen in a dramatic final in Slangerup.
Iversen became only the fourth rider in history to win the title four times on the trot, following in the footsteps of Kurt Walter Pedersen (1960-1963), Ole Olsen (1967-1973) and Erik Gundersen (1983-1986) as he topped the rostrum ahead of Pedersen and Hans Andersen

Australian racer Darcy Ward has undergone surgery on spinal injuries in Poland after being involved in a heavy crash at Zielona Gora on Sunday evening.
The Queenslander, riding for Zielona Gora, was thrown awkwardly from his machine, landing on the back of his neck after catching Grudziadz rider Artem Laguta’s back wheel in heat 15 of Zielona Gora’s 57-33 home win.
Ward was taken to hospital for assessment and his British parent club Poole have released a statement confirming that the crash has left the former FIM Speedway Grand Prix star with no lower body feeling at this time.

Our thoughts are with the young man.

Polish shooting stars Bartosz Zmarzlik and Piotr Pawlicki are on their way to the FIM Speedway Grand Prix big time, while Chris Harris retained his SGP spot at the GP Challenge in Rybnik on Saturday night.
FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship leader Zmarzlik may be just 20 years old, but he showed composure well beyond his age to top the rostrum on 12 points.
Current World Under-21 champion Pawlicki finished second, beating Harris in a run-off after they tied on 11 points.
SGP regular Harris extended his World Championship career in spectacular style, storming under Przemyslaw Pawlicki, pipping him to victory in heat 18 by half a bike – a result that denied the Pole the chance to join his younger brother in the series as he missed out on 10.
There was also heartbreak for Danish ace Peter Kildemand, Czech hotshot Vaclav Milik and Sweden’s former SGP star Freddie Lindgren, who all fell just short on 10.

    Well done Bomber!!!

Nicki Pedersen sent the Leszno fans into ecstasy as he secured the race win which saw off Wroclaw and brought the Polish Ekstraliga championship back to the Alfred Smoczyk Stadium. The Dane stormed to a 4-2 alongside new SGP star Piotr Pawlicki in heat 14 to secure the title for the Bulls.
Despite Leszno being held to a 45-45 draw by their near neighbours, their first-leg 49-41 triumph last Sunday saw them swap the silver medals they won in 2014 for gold
