Hello sailor! An urban myth perhaps - but isn't captain the only title that you can bestow on yourself without any military background.
This may well be true, but beware of posting any stories from the HITC site. The bloke who wrote this is a Swedish wannabe football journo ( Aren't they all? ) He has just rehashed an article from West London Sport that was published by David McIntyre two hours previous to this one. Spot the mistake in this snippet from his journalistic knowledge ... ''Bidwell, who signed for the Bees permanently in 2013 after a couple of impressive spells on loan from Everton, the club he graduated from, has made 210 appearances for the North Londoners, but only has a year left on his contract at Griffin Park.''
Not sure what a HITC site is but here is the article>>>>>> Facebook14 Twitter0 Google+1 Reddit QPR are set to sign Brentford’s Jake Bidwell according to a report from Get West London. The R’s had made the 23-year-old defender one of their key targets for the summer but it appeared to be off when the Bees were demanding £2.5m despite the fact that his contract was set to expire next summer. But QPR kept negotiating with Brentford and now that they have come to an agreement on a £1.3m fee, it appears that the move will be completed in the coming days and the West London club will have completed the poaching of their rival club’s captain. And Bidwell isn’t the only defender who is set to switch to playing at Loftus Road on a more regular basis next season. QPR have had an offer from Huddersfield Town accepted for Joel Lynch after a similar protracted negotiated period and they look to complete that deal in the coming days as well. With both of those players coming in it would be the start of a new look defence for the West London club which they hope will help them get promoted back to the Premier League. Bidwell signed for Brentford back in 2013 from Everton after a number of impressive loan spells with them.
''Not sure what a HITC site is but here is the article>>>>>>'' If you click on the link on the post that you posted in your original post it will take you to the HITC ( Here Is The City ) article. It also contained a wonderful insight using this photo ... please log in to view this image Brentford's Jake Bidwell walks off the pitch You then post the article that I said he had rehashed it from. This should've been put in the transfer rumours thread. Only official signings should have a dedicated thread. This isn't one of them.
Ok I'll take your word for it 999s but I always thought DM was reliable. Bidwell poised for £1.3m QPR move By David McIntyre 30/06/2016

Agree with 9's. It's never done until on the offish but it does look hopeful. The only slight doubt is why Brentford would let him got o local rivals for a relatively small amount??
