Only the Lower West open tomorrow night, and reports on Twitter that fewer than 300 tickets have been sold Any attendance below 1,000 tomorrow night will get Meire back into the media spotlight for the wrong reasons. A member of the FA Council who's club enjoys 3 figure home attendances You couldn't make it up.
892- that's my prediction. You won't get the usual comp tickets added on to the attendance, because it's a cup game and we share the gatereceipts. The attendance will be the story of the night, I wonder what spin she will put on it?
Think it will also raise questions about the competition again to be fair, especially the rule change. Pointless.
800 is the benchmark for tomorrow night That was the attendance for two Simod Cup games at Selhurst in the 80s I remember them well - I was abusing Ralph Milne (RIP) in one and my voice was echoing around the empty ground
I reckon we'll touch the 1000 mark if only for what Southampton bring, Crawley will get very close to the 817. As an aside, it will be interesting at looking at the gates for all the other games involving U23 teams.
Southampton have offered their fans so called "loyalty points" for Premier League tickets if they attend the EPL friendly tonight. It is quite possible that there will be more Southampton fans inside the Valley than Charlton fans. Why is the B!tch charging £10 when many other clubs are only charging a fiver tonight? Weird and unique. And incompetent.
I was thinking of making a show, unveiling my protest banner, but I'm going to do something else. Wasn't a hard decision to make. "Sausage Party" is out. Looks like a good movie to go and see
I have watched Sausage Party and can say it was a very funny film but I love Seth Rogen films they always are top class.
This would be an ideal match for those that see direct action (ie getting on the pitch or an abandonment etc) as the solution to act; it wouldn't affect the fans who would be put out by that sort of thing and is a joke competition anyway - being fined or kicked out wouldn't matter in the whole scheme of things. Plus the Southampton fans won't have too far to have wasted their travel!
If you want to get a game abandoned, surely you're looking at Millwall or Gillingham, if you don't want people to travel that far.
Bit if it's going to grab attention, it'll do what we want to achieve. For something to achieve too, you need the buy in from EVERYONE. They cannot prosecute and ban a collective, r.e: full time whistle against Burnley as an example
