Did you mean unnerving? If so, then I'd agree with you.

Very profound. Not sure his were the best laid plans though. Was always heading for grief and pain.

I vaguely knew him in the 80's, nice bloke, clever, talented and his early work was great.

He was part owner of a boss record shop in Liverpool called Probe back then

His plastic surgery obsession in later life was bizarre, but there was much more to him than that.

Great shame he's gone at only 57.

Define talented here? Not musically. The first time I heard of him was when Dead or Alive had to cancel appearing on the Tube when they found out you were expected to play live. Something apparently that the band couldn't do. You spin me round was an OK record, but a SAW formula product IIRC. The band then disappeared overnight. Take your word that he was a nice bloke. He certainly hid this well on Big Brother though.

The Tube was a brilliant programme. Didn't Paula Yates present it for a while ?

For the whole run alongside Jools Holland. It was a great show.

The first album they did was great, Sophisticated Boom Boom, before the SAW stuff. They could play live as I saw them.

He was acerbic for sure, and had developed into a bit of a diva by the time BB came along, he was still witty in that show though.

  18. "You spin me right round, like a record, baby - right round!"

You've got to admit that it's prophetic stuff.
