GT has admitted many times he doesn't really want to be involved at board level.

Need to get in some decent pacey attacking players if the youngsters are going to be given a chance.

Sir GT goes to Loftus Road, and the two best Watford players he managed who are still playing score.

If we're looking for good news, we've only dropped one league position in 2012, and are still six points and goal difference ahead of the chasing pack, none of whom have games in hand on us.

That's the extent of it though. Although it was heartening to hear Dyche trying something different yesterday, even if it didn't work out.

The first half and til the second goal we were doing well, and it could have gone either way, after the second goal, we were scrappy, out of shape, passing terribly, and yes, not a corner in sight which was ridiculous. I don't know what's changed, except, as Dan says, the midfield, but Dicko had a bad game, as did Yeates, we have no width again, and Hodson worries me..he's either amazing or scary! Sordell was a little better today but honestly he never looks like he's going to be able to score, and he's still pretty weak and is easily pushed off the ball. Nos had a better game, and Mapps is very reliable, though it wasn't perhaps his best performance. Loach had a good one, and really couldn't be held accountable for the goals, Buaben did well...and Deeney works really hard, wins headers, but just doesn't seem to know where the goal is! When Iwelumo came on, he did okay but he's never going to light any fires. All in all, some good individual performances, but sadly, a poor team display, especially in the latter end of the match.
Agree with this. We were definitely stronger in the first half, but just seemed totally defeated after that 2nd goal went in.
    Atmosphere was ace though

Hi guys, QPR fan in peace.

I was at your game yesterday as I was in the area and had a couple of mates going so tagged along. I obviously don't see you play too often but watched the Reading game on the box and yesterday's and it reminded me of some of the most dire QPR teams of years gone by. The three in midfield seemed incredibly static and it left Sordell so isolated that there was little point in him being there. I can sort of understand what Dyche was trying to do, setting up in a way that was hard to break down and for half an hour or so it worked reasonably well, limiting them to half chances, but as soon as the first went in the heads went down I thought which was a tad disappointing. You have to wonder what they work on in training when the sole tactic seems to be pumping it into the channel for Sordell. On a positive note I thought Eustace, Hodson, Loach and Nosworthy had decent enough games but there seems to be a lot there who wouldn't look out of place in League One or, in Dickinson's case, park football.

Fair play to the fans though who were vocal from 2:30 right through to the end of the game. Best of luck for the rest of the season but I fear for you based on my limited knowledge of your squad and tactics.

Good (well not good but....) to see that people are seeing that Dickinson really isn't that good.

I had my doubts after a handful of games....he has scored two great goals but his job is to defend.....something which he has been terrible at all season. Even his general play doesn't really make up for it....

Welcome to the Watford boards R ...though i think it wasn't til the second goal that heads dropped, you make some fair points. We'll be okay this season, but it won't be pretty..but we expected that back in August, we're having the season we thought we'd have, it's just disappointing that we can't exceed our expectations.

    A poor man's Robinson!

Sordell is never going to be a lone striker as such and Deeney isn't a left sided player.

And who is setting the team up this way tacticly and choosing those players in that formation?
Consult not your fears but your hopes and dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what is still possible for you to do.

The manager ofcourse...same one who has basically dropped of his own signings this season apart from Hogg which doesn't say much for the scouting done last summer.
