Any match United plays against the scousers is a big event. We have always had taunts of "18, 18". Now this is irrelevant as United has surpassed this and silenced the scousers. There is the added dimension of the Evra-Suarez incident.

Is this a good time or a bad for United to play them at home? Some may argue that this is not a good time as they are going to Wembley after an absence of 15 years. Their morale will be high. But are they playing well? Many would argue they owed their final to some awful refereeing decisions not to their form. The penalty for Richards handball was NEVER a penalty. And City had the most flagrant penalty against Dzeko turned down. So the scousers should have lost the match by 3-1 and the tie. It should have been City going to Wembley not them and Mancini had good cause to complain.


United will have to field a weakened side with so many injuries. United will have a chance at Anfield. But if the referee does what he did on Wednesday for the scousers United are out.

And so the scousers would say the same about us, with their own conspiracy theories regarding ref's.

It's all bollocks really, hopefully the ref won't make any mistakes but if he does then he does, we'll/they'll have to deal with it.

Football wise, neither side is absolutely full strength but I'm confident that we're better than them and so should win.

Good time or bad time, it makes no odds. Form goes out the window in games like this. Liverpool will see this as their biggest game so far this season and will definitely raise their game so we will have to play well to win.

We all know that lots of referees are homers and easily influenced by the crowd when they officiate at Anfield.

Like SAF said on many such occasions, we need a strong ref.

Yeah he alway's say's that but you never see United getting any decision's in their favour at Old Trafford, that just never happen's does it??

If United win tomorrow with the reserrves it would be a great achievement. But the reality is that SAF should have bought reinforcements as soon as the situation was getting ridiculous.
