If there are any fools on this board (and I'm sure there won't be) who are considering booing Sir Roy tonight, then please read the kind words he has been saying about us and how we should be template for premier league stability.

Also if you read at the end he has a nice little dig at QPR's approach as well. Love you Roy and always will!

I would never boo Roy. He got the opportunity to manage one of the most prestigious clubs in the world, it most likely would have been his last 'big' job. He gave us some of the fondest memories I have of the club (Great escape, Europa run). I wasn't happy at him leaving but understood why he had. I think a lot of people are bitter because when Roy left he took stability with him. Since then we have had MH and now Jol who is hanging on by his fingernails.

I don't think Jol is 'hanging on by his fingernails' Bandy, but I agree that Roy should get a warm and positive reception tonight. Jol should get the full backing of the Fulham fans as well, otherwise it will look like we're making a dig at him by applauding Roy. Sadly I won't be there tonight, much as I would have loved to welcome Roy back to the Cottage. Let's send him home with a warm feeling of being appreciated and well remembered (and no points).

I can't imagine any Fulham fan with any bit of brains would hold a grudge against Uncle Woy for taking the Liverpool job. He had done so much for us in the short period he was at the club, going from being mathematically relegated at half time away to City at 2-0 down to taking Atletico Madrid to extra time in the Europa League final. Any fans caught booing should be immediately ejected from the stadium but I'm sure that won't be the case. I would love to be there tonight but every time I want to go watch Fulham play it costs me around £200-£300 so my attendance is limited unfortunately. Would be lovely to see Roy back at the Cottage.

The only sourness I feel about his move to Liverpool was the way the scousers treated him.

I am sure that Sir Roy will get a good welcome from the Fulham Faithful this evening. Our thanks to him as ever. Followed by showing our support for MJ.

As for the manager we had in between them, who thoroughly deserves get the opposite if he returns, Sir Roy puts it most succinctly in his interview!

No strikers in the starting 11? Davies replaces Zamora and AJ isn't even on the bench. Trotta our only striker in the match-day squad. Playing Dempsey up front takes away our attacking threat from midfield. Bad feeling about this.

    Awful display!

AJ threw a tantrum and got injured last minute!

Only Trotta on the bench and he could have a had an impact.

    FFC totally agree.
Trotta was chumping at the bit,and you could see that he and Frei
would possibly have made a difference. As for A J all know my views on this free loading piss taker,
I wonder weather the late injury, was more like I did not find a club that wanted me, so I shall sulk
I know i shall receive criticism for my continuing hounding.
    But stats are stats

Steve Marlet who most think was our worst C/F Premier league games 49 Goals 11
    Andy Johnson my opinion " " " " " " Premier league games 67 Goals 9
If we did not have Dempsey in the team, which I fear we wont next season heaven help us
    My match analysis

Goalkeeper does not command his area, caught out of position far to often especially with corners.
2 full backs not "prem" standard
    Central midfield erratic
Attacking mid and inside forwards, adequate
Center forwards ( no such word in Dutch)
So anguish and frustration was felt, by not only myself but most of those around me.

I felt Stockdale, Senderos and Riise were all at fault for the equaliser, way to much space given to the West Brom player. Honestly thought Ruiz was awful, the guy isn't adapting to the league and is playing no better now than he was in his first game.

Ruiz needs more time on the ball, if he has some space he is actually pretty good. Under pressure he is hopeless.

In the centre and on the right he has looked a bit lost; on the right he is always going to turn back in to traffic and usually drifts in, up front he is half-competing for headers which everyone watching knows he will not win. On the left he has a little bit longer to take it on his better foot, away from the defender

His positioning is bad and he can't tackle, but it was the same with Dembele when he arrived.

Ruiz reminds me of Malbranque when he first joined us. He tends to run round doing figure 8's.
We know how Steed turned out, so lets hope when Ruiz finds his feet, he turns out to be
    the same.
I always believe in partnerships and Ruiz, Dempsey and Dembele seem to gel, (the 3 Amigos),
which means Duff would have to be sacrificed in midfield to use a 4-2-3-1, with either
Johnson, Pogrebnyak or Trotta up front.

I'm probably going to be the lone voice in the wilderness on this one, but I thought we played ok last night. We had good periods of possession when we controlled the game, but couldn't break them down, which was predictable given the way Hodgson has them set up away from home. The press have made much of the Zamora transfer and the fact that we were left without a striker for last night's match, but having either Bobby or AJ in the side wouldn't have made it any easier to find a way through their two banks of four. We saw the best and worst of Ruiz - great ball for the goal but gets mugged far too often and still looks lightweight. I can see why Jol sticks with him. The more he plays the better he'll adapt to the pace of the game and the more chance there is that we'll start to see the best of him. All in all, a draw was a fairly predictable (if frustrating) result. After all, if anyone knows the strengths and weaknesses in the Fulham team and how to counter them it's Uncle Roy!

Back to thread and Uncle Woy. He got a very warm welcome at the start - properly Fulhamish; generous without being exuberant.

Was quite amused when the teams came out for the second half, both managers were at the tail and Woy fair sprinted across the pitch with Jol puffing along behind, trying to catch up. 'Amused', I should add not in the funny sense, but more what it might say about their respective characters.

I'm not sure it says much about their characters, but it probably says something about their waistlines.

I loved it when some of the players had a chat with Hodgson as we ran across the pitch, Davies and Murphy in particular looked delighted to be reunited with him. I can only imagine the words spoken...

COME BACK AND BE OUR MANAGER AGAIN? PLEEEEEASE!
