...Arsenal play the ball in behind for Theo to run onto. He's so much more dangerous in that situation than playing ball to feet all the time. He stretches the defense, makes them turn, and forces them to then sit deeper, giving more space in the hole for the AM etc. to play in.

Great performance and some great goals. Hopefully that confidence will inspire them.

It was like going into a time portal. I felt i was watching the real Arsenal, the team i supported as a child, rather than the current Arsenal, who filled my teen years with much misery.

Actually I think we worked on our finishing since the Bolton game where we were extremely wasteful. Our problem is not creating chances it's finishing them off. This helps when your strikers and midfielders hit the target, which happened a lot yesterday.

Its not really as obvious as that, most team defend deep against us which means he doesn't have space to run in to. We would play through balls in to him all the time if that wasn't the case.

To be honest Blackburn made it very easy for us and for Walcott. No one else is likely to do that and we still have a long way to go before any of our problems are solved!

Of course Blackburn were very poor defensively.

However the team played very well. Song was excellent and Walcott and Oxo both ran their socks off.

There's no doubt we have been poor this season but I dont think United and Chelsea look any better. We should have got something out of the United game and Chelsea have no idea how to play this high defensive line they are adopting.

If we had Wilshere back would be feeling alot more confident but having both Sagna and Santos back will make a big difference also.
There's still a long way to go and another good run of form could well see us get back above Chelsea.

We were given so much freedom by Blackburn that its hard to accurately judge performances, except to say that under those conditions we played very well.
Sagna will make a big difference, but I'm not convinced at all by Santos.

I agree that Chelsea and Man U aren't as good as previous seasons, though I think we were guilty of poor decision making in our tactics and substitutions in the Utd game at home. Utd get the results because Fergy has a better tactical awareness. We drop far too many points Fergy would pick up.

I wonder what our midfield will be when Wilshere returns. Song has improved, but in the role he is there to do, ie as a DM. Arteta has covered and allowed Song to get forward without the holes he ususlly leaves. We need a proper creative midfielder, which we lack at the moment, but with Wilshere, who is more a box to box player than anythimng else we still need a DM and some creativity. This means using Arteta and Song and losing the spark of Rosicky or dropping Song or Arteta and I doubt Wenger will drop Song which I think would be the wrong decision.
As it is the decision might be easier after the summer if we do sign a creative player and players like Rosicky and Arshavin leave.
