Just wanted to say ... in the time since Fernando Torres scored his last Premier League goal, Robin Van Persie has scored 19.
19.![]()
I thought it was a faze that Torres was going through but he REALLY looks bad nowadays and against Manure he was El Stinkio. Not only has his confidence gone but so has his pace. He's only 28 and his pace has already gone! I remember seeing a situation where it was him and Evans and Evans took the ball away from him like he was a 5 year old. He sometimes looks like he was running in a tar pit at times. BLOODY shocking how a man costing £50m can look so awful......
I would say qudos to Liverpool for selling such garbage to Chelsea for so much, but they outdid themselves with that big lump, Carroll. Can you ever imagine Wenger pulling of such rubbish transfers, no way!
I'll be able to laugh at this when Van Persie goes off to Barca/Real at the end of the season

"There was some footage of Stewart where he was, from 30 yards away, kicking a ball into five different trash cans and it was brilliant. John and I said, 'Oh my God, this player is brilliant, we've got to figure out a way to make a deal with him.'"The American duo later discovered the footage had been doctored but the excitement at Downing’s arrival remained
yeah cos he plays for Chelsea
not Everton

If RvP were to leave, then i'd prefer a big name, someone who strikes fear into the opposition. No offence to Suarez, he's playing well for Anderlecht, but he isn't what we need. Assuming we get 35 million for RvP (he's not too far away from being 30. hence the low price), i'd prefer somebody like Edinson Cavani.
this comparison is an insult to RVP![]()
for a £2.75m.. that deal is just sublime and all credit to AW for spotting the talent

I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer gods than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all other gods you will understand why I dismiss yours. (Stephen F. Roberts)
He still is.
You're posts are always soo negative.
just a few recent examples...
Vermaelen for £10m.
Gervinho for £10m.
Arteta £8m.
Bakari Sagna £6m
Mertesacker £7m
Wojciech Szczęsny - free (or minimal payment).
Adebayor for £7.5m.(sold for £26m)
Nasri £12m (sold for £25m)
Oxo will prove to be a massive bargain and I've got a feeling that when Joel Campbell gets his work permit he will prove to be an absolutely top class buy.

This is proof that you can run a club successfully without throwing your money like it's water. It's just a shame that we live in times where the billionaire and the dodgy (Barca and Real), are kings. The problem is, to fully justify our model, we need to start winning stuff soon, otherwise our best players will continue to leave us. Hopefully with the fair play rules in place and with more investment from the tight wads up top, we will see a winning Arsenal again.
Torres has scored 2 more goals against Chelsea than he has for them.
Is bewaring of ambiguificationisation
Does Torres go down as the WORST EVER premiership purchase? £50m striker that can't score.....
