I thought he did a good steady job at Leeds, whilst bates sold all of his best players.

Also did a good job at blackpool before hand. I think it's a good appointment, time will tell if it's successful.

I wouldn't be too dissapointed if I was an Udders fan. But I'd never have got rid of LC in the first place.

It's a pity the Huddersfield faithful don't post on not606 anymore to get their views, I think the reception that an ex-Leeds manager would generate would be about as warm as an ex-Palace manager coming to manage at The Valley - not that that's ever going to happen...

This is a great move for Huddersfield and Grayson. I think he is a good manager: he got Leeds out of League One and looking comfortable in the Championship. He was unfortunate to get the bullet at Elland Road. If Warnock had not been available, I think Grayson would still be in the hot-seat at Leeds.

However, I don't think he will get Huddersfiled firing until next season, which is good for us.

Can't believe Dowie keeps getting passed over. Must be waiting for AVB to get the bullet.

How would we feel about an ex-Palace player coming to manage at the Valley?

Grayson did take both Blackpool and Leeds up from this division, so I guess that played a key role in his appointment. That said, not many teams were sniffing around Phil Parkinson prior to taking the helm at Bradford...

Interestingly, the Huddersfield fans on 'Down At The Mac' seem to think that getting rid of Clark was a great move. It seems the outside world was in awe of him a lot more than Hudders fans were.

You thought wrong then. All sensible fans recognize that he did set the world alight.

I can see the argument for Lee clarke staying and going, not that I'm really bothered to be fair.

The bottom line is: Lee Clarke has has a top two budget for the previous two seasons and not managed to take Huddersfield up.

They've failed in the playoffs twice and the same route to promotion looks like their best hope this season. With this in mind the chairman has decided to change things. His club, his prerogative to make that decision.

    VerY good point, WWOCB.

When Parky was sacked, the football world looked on aghast at the decision. After all, we were near the top and had reached the play-offs the season before. The reality, however, was that the football at The Valley was complete and utter dross.
