http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/my/accou... from Premier League rivals (From Daily Echo) Must be true then

If they offer over 10m I don't think we have an option but to sell
If they were to offer us 10m-ish and Saints decided to sell Lambert - then better to do it sooner rather than later so as to have a couple of days to spend the money! But I don't think Saints will sell him
Peter White ‏@peterwhite_1 Could Rickie Lambert be shock departure? Villa very keen and £4million could clinch deal before deadline #saintsfc #AVFC I don't believe the last bit at all.
4 million would seem a bit low. Maybe 6-8 million, baring in mind his age and the fact that he has a grand total of two games of Premiership experience.
Shame on any Saints who want to cash in on the lad, he represents so much more than just a striker to our team.
The fact is we don't need to sell anyone. If we do it's becuase NC and Nigel don't think theuy will add anything to the team or squad. Certainly not the case with Rickie so unless the player himself wants out can't see it happening.
If he was sold to another prem team and scores 15-20 goals for them, it could potentially cost for than the money gained. Eg His goals could help keep Villa up and send us down!!
On the face of it, £4m for a 30 year old who has played 2 Premier League games and only one season in the Championship is a good deal... but we all know it isn't like that.
How many other Premier League teams would accept £4m for their most iconic and possibly best current player?
