Very interesting. He strikes me as the anti-Barton - a man that doesn't court publicity or require a mass forum as a means of gaining attention and validating his intellect. As the translator pointed out, the third part is the most interesting and shows he isn't just trying to be clever for clever's sake. He seemed very cagey and reluctant to speak out against anyone. He also seems supremely confident in not only his current ability but also to learn and the fact that he thrives on competition can only be a good influence on the team. Would like to see a current interview with him because he came across as very Real orientated and the idea of leaving seemed an impossibility. The fact he's done so is testament to how far we've come since he said he'd never take an easy pay day for a guaranteed starting place. He must have really bought into the vision. Can only be good for the club and he seems like a nice guy to boot.

OK, this lad has been a footballer with the worlds biggest club since he was 8. Let's name the English footballers in a similar situation who would have learned a foreign language to a good standard and taken a more than passing interest in sports psychology in their spare time. Rather than, say, playing golf, going to nightclubs, and taking out press injunctions. Oh, and crashing overpowered cars. My big concern with Granero is that he will get depressed when he realizes that there isn't a single person on the the playing or coaching side who he can have a sensible conversation with, including Mark 'in all fairness' Hughes. This bloke looks the real deal, at last.
Reckon Ned works the gray matter a bit... and Derry's pretty sincere. Then there's Nelsen who's got the maturity and played in the college system in the US. London's diversity has something for most interests. I know what you mean but if he's that bright, I'm sure he'll cope.
It was a tongue in cheek comment Brix. I have yet to learn that these rarely work in written form......
