While Hughton too has found new paths to tread,
And we here were in no doubt with regard to
His qualities once Paul Lambert had fled

So this ought to be one happy reunion
For him and you on Sunday afternoon,
And so that we too join in sweet communion
Maybe a draw would be best up in Toon

And Bassong too will know his way around there
Another who has donned the black and white,
He´s started impressively since joining here
After that awful first day Fulham fright

The Yellow Army will I´m sure do their bit
To make it a day Hughton will recall,
With fondness, when in dotage he gets to sit
With feet up, when he´s finished with football

And from what little I´ve heard from you Magpies
It seems as if he left you on good terms,
So he can count you lot amongst his allies
Where getting a good reception´s concerned

But I´m sure you, like he will want to win this
And so much sweeter it will always taste,
If when the ref blows, to denote the finish
Those beaten, could have a familiar face.

He will get a great reception, he turned a mess around after we were relegated and got us promoted with 102 points, a feat that have never been achieved by a team in the football league the year after relegation.

 

CH will always get a good welcome here, he was a very popular, well liked guy.

Not sure that we'd like him to take any points off us though.

Of that you can be totally assured Hung, ( I´m not sure just who else´s work you thought it might have been ) and I was never really in any doubt that Hughton would be remembered fondly, seemed a very strange decision at the time, mind you, but have to admit, Pardew has taken you on to the next level.

 

Bit surprised to hear that we´re not taking our full compliment of tickets, but maybe the change from Saturday to Sunday messed up a few.

Will be good to see Hughton back and he definatley will get a reception from the fans after helping us through one our most difficult periods in recent memory.
Should be a good game, i can see lots of goals if we dont have Colo and Krul back for this one but still think we'll have just enough to snatch all 3 points. 4-3 to the Toon.

 

Well I´d love to think we´d go and score 3, G4rd, I really would, but we haven´t been particularly flamboyant in that department this year as yet I´m afraid, so I´ll tip a low scoring draw, and be delighted if we get one.
