A proper European competition! - A little bit of fun.

I have always wanted to replace the boring Euro championships, or fill in the years between both international tournaments. My idea is that there should be a proper European competition, where the best players from each league come together to make a Prem, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Russia, Portugal etc team. I think it would be brilliant and truly demonstrate which league is the best. It would be hugely competitive, attractive and everyone can get behind their own league instead of England playing 'football' like Chelsea.

Post what you think your Premier league 11 would be and be realistic. Explain you team, why it is good and how would we fair etc.....
A bench of 10 players is suitable for a big competition like this.

Interesting idea. Could make a lot of money. But it could also cause a lot of conflict as a lot of managers wont like it.

I think there should be a limit of how many players you can have from 1 team. Other wise it will be Barcelona, City and Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.

I say 4 or 5 max from one team.

But the PL team I'd go for would be this:

On a more serious note my team would be something like:

Buffon

Maggio, Barzagli, Bonucci, Zanetti

De Rossi, Pirlo, Inler

Jovetic

Di Natale, Cavani

Very narrow but the wingers are ****e in Serie A! Not a single good one, unless you count wing backs!

 

What would your guys prem team be then?

 

TOtally forgot about de rossi and inler, obviously they would be in as well. And as you say, not really any proper or decent wingers.

Reminds me of Gerrard a little bit in that everytime a new manager or new season comes around he's always written off but comes back and shows his talent everytime!!

 

Rather just see a return of England v Scotland, a home nations tournament...
