19 year old George Rigg is on Trial with the Gas.

He plays his trade as a right back but can also play as a Central Midfielder. He is also the cousin of Sean Rigg - ex Gas player.

George has been released by Stoke following a season as part of their under 21 development squad. He is with us on a weeks trial which started today.

    Your thoughts??

So he can play RB and CM. I doubt he will be used as a CM as we have plenty of CM's already but just lack experience in that position. So my guess is Rigg would be used as a RB if he passes his trial of course. But what does that mean for our player of the season - Smith? Or the previous player of the season - Woodards? 3 RB's is a bit too much.
So here is me over-thinking things.... Woodards has yet to sign his new contract extension that Ward offered. So does this mean Woodards wont return and Rigg will be his replacement? Or has Smith impressed higher league clubs after last seasons performances and could be on his way soon? Or will Woodards return as a CM to give us a bit more experience (Ward played Woodards CM last season) therefore allowing Rigg to be Smiths back-up??

    Over to you guys <ok>

CM Woodards disagree CJ he did not play well in that position.Probably he may leave if he is unable to secure a starting position prior to his injury he was our stand out player and kept Smith out of the side funny old game eh!

You need experience at the back in this league otherwise you end up being taken apart at the back if Rigg fits the bill and is cheap worth a squad position perhaps one for the future when Smith does move on or picks up an injury form dips etc

Woodards had a serious injury, so I'm not surprised Ward might be looking for cover in that area.

Let's hope Woodards makes it back to his excellnt best.

Yup...saw him at Bath. He did OK........no better or worse than Norburn.
Apparently a gashead, but with City as a youth. Another Matthew Lund
    according to some.

Interesting. In your opinion, would you persue him?

Goddard, Harding, Clarke, Norburn, Lockyer, Clucas, Gill, Clarkson, Parkes, Woodards, Smith etc...................
    ...all have/can play CM.
On balance I don't think we need another lookalike.
We need one CM who goes straight onto the teamsheet, no mucking about! ;)
