Peter Taylor has just signed him at the Gills (L1) until January.

Just looking for some general info on the guy, best playing position, ability ie pace, strength, etc ?

    thanks

Without the ball he runs around like a headless chicken really pissing defenders off. With the ball he's head down with little composure. He likes to play as a main striker but invariably he always gets pushed out wide cos he doesnt score.

What has he been up to recently? He should do alright really but dont expect many goals, he's more of a contributor in other ways.

    Wasn't he training with us?

He's decent in the lower leagues and the championship.

I've seen worse players for City. Don't think he deserves as much grief as he gets here.

You can look forward to him really pissing off the opposition, he can be a really niggly player.

He's not bad, he'll probably do a decent job for you, but he's a bit of a ****er as an individual.

Yeah cos he terminated at Bratfud asking for a move south. Their fans were stunned when he then turned up at our place, that well known southern destination. But that was last season, god knows what he's been doing since then. I never rated him and thought we robbed Derby blind when we flogged him. I was gutted when we signed him back for nearly the same fee (not hindsight, all posted at the time).

He doesnt **** enough judging by his antics with the women....

He's getting on a bit now but if he gets his form and fitness back he can do a job at that level, shrewd signing by Taylor

Fantastic player, wish he was still with us now. Deserves to be playing at a high level. He's quick, strong, agile, skilful, great movement getting into positions and has a hell of a shot on him. One of the most under rated players of the last decade, he will tear your opponents to shreds for fun consistently.

For a short-arse he like squaring up to anyone who is daft enough to pay attention to him. Other than that, my memories of him seem to be that he holds the ball up well, but doesn't like to let it go.... ever. Unfortunately, he isn't capable of doing much with it when he has it.

He definitely looked better in the Championship but that was 6 years ago now. Since then hes failed to set League 2 on fire.

Who knows how good he is now.

He should do ok for you, I thought he was better out wide, tricky ****er who will be relentless in winding up the opposition. Ignore the negative comments, most of them wouldn't know a footballer if he poked them in the eye <ok>

He was. He always had the strike rate of a winger but insisted he was a striker and fell out with more than one manager over it. He actually had a decent cross on him as well, although with us it was hidden a bit by us having nobody taking up good positions in the box (Beckham's old quote about it being the winger's job to put the ball in the right places rather than pick out players, and the strikers' jobs being to get on the end of them)
