I've waited a day so as not to detract from yesterday's performance, but my goodness what a ****ing stupid chant. I appreciate it was sang by about a dozen no mark ****s who probably got a ticket for Christmas and that not everyone will have heard it, but I'm starting to fear the CTWD campaign will be hijacked by these morons and that they'll do more harm than good. These were probably the same daft ****s who were singing "**** off Allam" at the CTWD meeting, I think it needs reiterating by the CTWD coordinators (who are doing a sterling job, by the way) that CTWD is campaigning to keep the name Hull City AFC alive and not for a change of ownership. The more chants like this the less comfortable the average fan will feel publicly supporting the campaign IMO.
Yes it's appalling. It's so bad its probably on a par with when Allam said fans can die as soon as they like.
Saying someone will die before you will is foolish and tempting fate. In reality no one on this earth knows when they will die not even the most healthy ones. Enjoy everyday because no one knows what tomorrow will bring. I wish everyone a long life including Assem Allam and every one on here .
Yes, it's comparable, which only means CTWD loses the moral high ground and gains nothing. I think losing investment is a real worry for most City fans and this is the main reason for not backing the campaign. CTWD needs to re-establish that they are a campaign group campaigning to keep the name Hull City AFC and not for Dr Allam to leave the club, regardless of what has been said by Allam.
I heard that, and felt people nearby cringing. As you say, it was very few and short lived. I think given the different views on the situation, most people agree this is not an Anti-Allam issue, simply an anti this one decision issue.
It's probably a factually correct chant. Perhaps a group of renegade cardiologist hooligans? It is ****ish behaviour, but it perfectly represents the feelings of a certain element. CTWD have done very well to maintain the moral high ground so far. It can't be easy.
I know exactly what you mean, and don't disagree, however I think it is something people may want to comment on.
We've seen it Dutch, I'd prefer to think it never happened, I'd also prefer the thread not to be expanded upon
We've always pushed the fact that the campaign is anti-name change and not anti-Allam and we'll continue to do so. AA has tried to make this personal, with an 'either you're with me, or you're against me' approach, something I expect him to ramp up ahead of the FA vote, but it's not going to change our message. As for chants going too far, it's disappointing and we'd rather it wasn't happening.
Disgraceful. Agree this needs closing though, point made, and it'll kick off once some tosspot tries to justify it, there's nowt to be gained leaving it open.
Any evidence that the people who were chanting that actually have anything to do with CTWD? Not everyone who is against the name change or a fan of Allam's statement is a member of CTWD. Shall we assume any chants which hq e nothing to do with the name change, including objectionable one towards other fans and players are by pro name change fans what with them being(supposedly) the majority and all that?
Yes, close it now you have spouted off. Free speech, eh? Don't let anyone point out the inconvenient fact that this handful of idiots may well have nothing to do with CTWD and that CTWD in no way condone their actions.
Meh too late then. Someone has pointed that out. OLM. I never said, suggested or even thought it was owt to do with CTWD. Chances it was people who wear their badges and scarves and were at the meeting the other week? Probably fairly high, but that's probably best left aside. There is zero justification for the chant, no one with more than 1 braincell would try to justify it. CTWD do not condone it. What have you just added to this btw other than a childish tantrum and what is there left to discuss on it?
Pro name changers don't exist do they ? I thought it was those who are 100% against it The minority And those who aren't that bothered .. The Majority . I Hope NO one on here dies for years and years yet I hope none of the Allam family die for years yet either.
Who said you suggested or thought CTWD had anything to do with it? I was making that point to the original poster. What do you add to any discussion?
You quoted my post then in the next sentence, in the same paragraph, threw a tantrum. ****ing hell, ok Im done with you, can see you're just looking for attention and to cause a drama. Well done you.
Chant by a dozen people ? Not worth mentioning , we obviously have more than a dozen idiots at every game as does every club
