"@HDMsport: Hull City keeper Eldin Jakupovic is believed to be on the verge of sealing a loan move to League One promotion-chasers Leyton Orient #hcafc"
Hull City Official @hullcityteam We can confirm that Eldin Jakupovic has signed for @leytonorientfc on a month's loan #UTT Done deal.
Good luck to him, I think I'm about the only person on here who actually rated him as a goalkeeper. He needs to be playing regular first team football at his age. If he does well, I can see him staying there, he's more than good enough for the Championship.
Brucie had some good things to say about him recently so it seems he's improving. Didn't let us down against the Hotspurs. He's also been touting himself for a spot in the Bosnian world cup squad. So he needs games of any standard.
Good move for him but I wonder who will be on our bench if MacGregor is injured and Harper is in the team? or do we just recall him?
He's on loan there until 8th February, which is when the emergency loan window opens. It's obviously like Macca when he went to Palace, he's been brought in for the minimum time to start with, if it works out they'll make it an end of season loan before the end of the window, if it doesn't he covers them til they can sign someone else.
I have always rated him. He had one horrendous game last year but in general he's a tremendous shot stopper, brave and very athletic. He was far better than "slow hands" Stockdale IMO whose positioning and handling was atrocious. Good luck to Yak...he deserves to play...hope he makes Bosnia's squad.
He's anything but solid. He made two of the worst goalkeeping howlers I've seen from a City keeper in consecutive games and pretended to be injured due to the shame of the first one. Brave? I'm confused at why someone would put that based on the evidence we've seen. He was nowhere near as good as Stockdale either.
2-0 final score, good start for him then, clean sheet on his debut when he's probably not even had a full training session with them yet.
Not for us it wasn't! Koren had just got us back in the game and surely claimed a point from a game we'd played poorly in. Then seconds later Jak does that.
Jak was a confidence keeper I reckon, and that was why he exaggerated everything he did to get a bigger clap. And of all the words to describe him, brave would be one of the last.
I thought this too. He always seemed to make every save into a dramatic flying one. Stockdale was the opposite, very unfussy.
