A very interesting and somewhat concerning view of the Ravel Morrison deal. Sounds like West Ham have shot themselves in the foot with what's gone on there... http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/feb/15/ravel-morrison-west-ham-united-waste This is the video they mention... Well this cheered me up immensely - turns out he's a non drinking, good lad who (allegedly) got on the wrong side of a manager/agent cartel - welcome Ravel, prepare to be embraced into the QPR family.
There's not much fact in the article to be fair. Might be some truth in it but more likely he's just not been cutting the mustard on the pitch... Which is why we've got him.
If this story is even partly true it proves that they can mess things elsewhere too........Hope he comes here and prove to be instant hit!
Bloody hell mate! Don't take every word from a news journo as Gospel. Thing is, we just don't know. Maybe he is a player and has got his attitude together. Maybe he hasn't. We'll know soon enough when he starts playing for us.
It is amazing the complexities behind scenes. So anyone who thinks, why didnt we get so-and-so, or why didnt a certain manager get, X, Y, or Z. There it is.
I've no doubt whatsoever there could be a lot of truth in all this. Emphasised how much corruption and underhand deals are being made in modern day football. Has any one heard of anything on the Puncheon/Warnock saga ?? Anyone ??? No, thought not .
It's a valid point you raise Staines R's - my perception is that this matter has blown over - most who commented on that matter at the time on this forum more-or-less predicted that nothing would come of it. please log in to view this image
I think Harry can get the best out of the lad and let's hope it's just that extra edge we need and seem to be missing to gain the automatic promotion place we all crave.....
Whether this is exactly true or not, it is easy to believe stuff like this happens in general terms, especially with certain managers. Depressing what this game has come to, and a very strong argument for keeping managers out of contract negotiations (as we seem to do now at QPR) and enforcing some kind of public declaration about conflicts of interest on the part of managers and agents when specific players are discussed. For our sake I hope it is true, I'd rather have a player who's the victim of pathetic bullying attempts and has stood up to them than an awkward bastard. What did the West Ham fans think of Morrison?
The two Hammers boys that populate the West Ham Board give their opinions half way down this page: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/170540-Hello-anyone-home/page6
