Poor Stoke

Stoke City have today announced that Warrior is to become the Club's official kit supplier.

The agreement, which will take effect from June, will make the Potters the second Premier League team to join Warrior's growing club roster and will see Warrior design the Club's home and away kits, along with training wear.

City Chief Executive Tony Scholes said: "We are delighted to have strengthened our partnership structure by signing an agreement for Warrior to become our new kit provider."

"Warrior are an exciting brand to work with and next season we will be one of just two English clubs to wear their products, alongside Liverpool."

"They have established an outstanding reputation for designing bespoke products that boast the latest technical innovations."

"What’s more, our link-up with Warrior will allow us to give something back to our next generation of fans as we've made the decision to reduce the price of children’s replica shirts to just £30 from next season whilst freezing the price of all other products."

Richard Wright, General Manager of Warrior Football, said: “Warrior is delighted to be partnering with Stoke City Football Club. They are a team steeped in history; a pillar of English football."

"Over recent years they've been a mainstay in the Premier League since the club's promotion in 2008 and with the notoriously passionate club fans always creating an electric atmosphere."

In fairness when I first saw our kits I thought they were atrocious bar the home one. But they have actually grown on me and they dont look as bad in a game for whatever reason

 

The kit designs are done to maximise profits. The home shirt is the only one that will fit with most traditional tastes. Can't say I've been that keen on any of them yet though. Also, I think the quality of our kits is very poor

 

Ive not actually felt this seasons, do you mean the material?

 

Yes, I mean the material and the way they are made. They aren't the most rebust shirts in the world and bobble horribly too. I've not got this seasons because I was so disappointed with the previous one. It only lasted me about four or five months (I wear them to football)

 

Yeah I used to wear mine for football

I thought last season the material felt thick and heavy. I prefer the shiny material

 

Last years was thick, it was more like wearing a t-shirt and football shirt.

As I said, I didn't get this seasons so don't know if they have got any better.

 

G, this seasons (home shirt) is far more durable and more comfortable in my opinion. I know what you mean about the last one, the material was terrible.

 

i have liked the style of this seasons and last seasons home kit. But when I bought both I was desperately disappointed with the quality

 

Because we are usually winning in them

If we end this season well these kits could go down in history and become iconic, and inspire future designs

 

I wasn't keen on the design this year either so I was never going to gamble

 

As long as what's in them isn't

 

Would love us to have Puma or Nike but doubt it with United and Arsenal all over those two markets.

stoke should get more money from the deal than from the european shirt suppliers so fair play

 

I've got last season's home, I've worn it three or four times casually and the sponsor logo is peeling slightly so I wouldn't want to wear to play sport in and constantly have to wash it, seems like machine wash/dry would ruin it quickly. I'm gonna get this season's away for a laugh when the prices come down, will wear that for sport. Anyone seen the rumoured away/3rd for next season, away is plain yellow with red trim, 3rd is a black grey combo, neither look great but not as outlandish as the current crop.

 

Would most like to see Under Armour have a crack at our strip.

 

Under Armour has gotten a lot better I must say. Still don't trust their cleats but they have been in the sort of climacool, tighter strip, lightweight for players mode for a long time. Warrior made lacrosse stuff, big thick, heavy stuff.

Pro indoor team I played for was under armour and I quite liked the kit and warm-ups.

 

It would be interesting to see the financial deals in place between Warrior Sports and Adidas.

I assume with Warrior Sports that we received a lot of money up front and a larger % of worldwide sales but WS aren't that globally accessible compared to Adidas.

Whereas with Adidas, we receive a smaller % but they have shops all around the world.

 

Warrior make a lot of hockey gear too, saw the logo lots at the winter Olympics, sticks, pads, uniforms, everything really. I like UA base layers, they're very good, can't comment on outerwear as I'm obviously not a Spurs fan. Their designs for them look the part though.
