Think about it; he didn't say "some Liverpool fans", which would've been absolutely fine and proper (unless they're ****s from other towns and cities with their own teams to support, of course). No, he said "Some FOOTBALL fans". ****ing unbelievable. These ****s are so conceited. They even think they're the favourite team of fans of other clubs. I really ****ing hope they don't win it. In fact I hope they never win it ever again.

I almost hope they do win it for the same reason cos they might stop f**king whingeing and playing the constant victim. I cant be done with loads of blubbing faces for weeks on end. Imagine if they blow it on the last game of the season - every year from then on they'd refuse to play on that date and demand the football world joins them in mourning.
I will differ as someone who watched English teams over the years dominate Europe and our own leagues with some fantastic teams. Be it Liverpool, Manchester Untied, for a while Arsenal and go even further back Wolves who blazed a European trail before many of you were born. I could also add Nottingham Forest under the auspices of Clough/Taylor, Aston Villa, Chelsea of late and no doubt I have missed a team or two out, although I do remember Celtic being the first British team to win the then European Cup. I don't recall, although it is a long time ago, many people moaning about Real Madrid dominating everything with the likes of Puskas and Di Stefano winning 5 European Cups in a row but I have always cheered on a British team against any foreign competition albeit sat in front of the telly. Hull City can only aspire to such heights but to say about the wingers and moaners in the game, well I'm afraid it is the state of the game these days no matter who the team or manager is. Add to this diving, cheating, time wasting on an epic scale, just watch the pantomime when a team go towards the corner flag to waste any time they can, harrassing the referee crowding round the guy whoever he or she may be, Jack Taylor must be spinning in his grave at such antics he would have sent the lot off. I could go on but I'm sure you get the drift as to whether Liverpool win the title or not recent events with the police and such, and need I remind people on these thread about W.Y.P and Hull City supporters, I say well done I just hope that Hull City can emulate your success in some way along with the other European Cup winner, we too can dream.
I've decided Liverpool winning the thing will make a change. I'd rather so-called Liverpool fans in Hull were happy than so-called Hull Whites living in the city. Are you reading this Hull Whites? You will never be anything ever again.
I think you've missed the point a bit. When it comes to Europe it's a different matter; I always support English clubs and have had some great nights watching the clubs you mentioned winning trophies. I don't see what this has got to do with my original post though.
Eh? Who said anything about time being a healer? My point was it's not 'a change' if the team that has won it the 2nd most then wins it again. Man City and Chelsea have won far fewer league titles than Liverpool, so if anything it would be a change if they won it.
The number of Vermin fans in Hull these days is tiny compared to the number of Liverpool then Man United fans. If Liverpool win it, every ****ing toothless chav in the city will be out in their grubby red shirts, the ****s.

Precisely. It's the way he said it, saying "football fans", instead of "Liverpool fans", suggesting everyone who follows football wants Liverpool to win it. It's possible that they don't even know they're doing it. They got so used to being the centre of the English footballing world for 20 years or so, that they still believe they are.
Yes, what a refreshing change it would be if the team who have dominated the competition for the last 20 years are replaced by the one who dominated it for the 20 years immediately prior to them...
Anyone but Liverpool! Can't stand them, but now I've said that they're nailed on to win it. If I had to choose a team it would be the common one, Man City. Ultimately as long as we survive this season then I'll be happy!
Sorry Polly, Liverpool are Liverpool be it Europe, Premiership of FA Cup or whatever and Ian Rush's statement could well be right, I understood your original quote and was pointing out that there has always been the moaners and whingers from a multitude of teams supporters. But all this one dimensional support of one team be it Hull City or whoever has never been my understanding of football for as long as I've watched the game. I have been to Old Trafford in the days of Best, Charlton, Law etc but I also travelled the country watching City at many different grounds because I loved football as a whole, these days I would probably be branded a 'plastic' so what, if I had stuck with only Hull City games I would have missed some classic stuff elsewhere. One year I went to Old Trafford for the Manchester derby, Bell Summerbee, Tony Book etc, either that or go down to the south coast and watch City when only a couple of weeks previous I had been down to London to see them, a no brainer for me I'm afraid.
