Anelka banned for doing the gesture.

Nasri and Sakho just given warnings for posting pictures of them performing the gesture.

BAE and Sagbo charged and face fines/potential bans for being supportive of someone who made the gesture.

    Consistent.

Hull's Yannick Sagbo and QPR loanee Benoit Assou-Ekotto are facing possible bans after they were charged with improper conduct for social media posts relating to the 'quenelle' gesture.
Nicolas Anelka was banned for five games and fined £80,000 for making the sign after scoring against West Ham in December, and was sacked by West Brom.
The quenelle sign is described as an inverted Nazi salute.
The pair have until 8 April to respond to the Football Association charge.
The FA said in a statement on its website: "It is alleged that in each case the comment was abusive and/or indecent and/or insulting and/or improper.....and was an 'Aggravated Breach' as the comment included a reference to ethnic origin and/or race and/or religion or belief."
Striker Sagbo, 25, plays for Ivory Coast, while Frenchman Assou-Ekotto, 30, is on loan at QPR from Tottenham.
Manchester City's Samir Nasri was handed a formal warning for comments he made on social media relating to the gesture and Liverpool's Mamadou Sakho was reminded of his responsibilities
Anelka denied his use of the sign was intended to be anti-Semitic, and the commission reported it did not find he was "an anti-Semite".
The striker claimed he made the gesture in support of his friend Dieudonne M'bala M'bala, a French comedian who has been convicted seven times of anti-Semitic crimes.
The FA had initially wanted a tougher punishment for the player but opted not to appeal against the independent regulatory commission's decision.
He was sacked for gross misconduct after announcing he was quitting the club in march.

It seems like a lot of you have something against BAE. I understand it but I don't feel the same. He had bad form and before his dip he did put a lot of effort in. I simply think he has lack of character, that's all. And therefore he's only as good as backup at the moment. He's not a bad person to have as backup. Young should be picked ahead of him.

    Young's a right back mate.

BAE just doesn't look interested and clearly couldn't give a ****. Now he's been shown up as a 'quenelle' sympathiser. Get rid pronto!!

Hope they fast track this one and they ban him for the rest of the season, so we can send him back to Spurs, where I should imagine he'll get a frosty welcome as a good proportion of the supporters have strong opinions about use of the quenelle. What an idiot.

Luke Young is a right-back, but I think he is referring to Yun Suk-Young, a left-back.

Yun Suk-Young (Hangul: born 13 February 1990) is a South Korean footballer who plays for Queens Park Rangers as a left-back.

So just a thought...& i know some will get upset but...

Funny how when a white bloke is openly racist, his club stick by him (John Terry comes to mind) but when its a black bloke, the knives are out for him...Or have i missed something ?

Im trying desperately to find a thread where you havent blamed harry for something...and I'm struggling. Whilst at the same time you still have not answered swords or anyones question as to who you would like as manager?

I'll assume you wont answer me either and therefore take your comment as it should be taken...absolute rubbish <ok>

Its got nothing to do with him being black, its just that he doesn't give a crap and Yun is a better lb and having him banned is the only way we have of Yun bring picked.

I don't answer swords because he is a Chelsea troll. Mackay is out there and available.

I've given my opinion last week when I pointed out the managers I didn't want on the bookies shortlist. The others were OK to good.
