The prediction league winner for 2013/14 will be decided on the final day of our season against Shrewsbury. Matches 46: Anyone within 12 points of the prediction league leader (including the leader) for MATCH 46 (Shrewsbury) - may if they so wish submit their prediction to me by private message (known as PM) - the prediction will not be displayed on the board but it will be indicated on the prediction thread, I have received their prediction by private message. Please DO NOT edit your posts: in the event of a mistake please repost. Edited posts will not be validated in the event of a dispute. Finally: All predictions must be made before the scheduled kick off time of 3pm on Saturday 3rd May 2014 or maybe deemed invalid.
Example of many possible outcomes: IF WINDYROG fails to score any points for Match 46 and Drakey X gets the correct outcome for 2 pts, the positions would be tied. Therefore unless another predictor scored more points to take top spot, then Drakey X would be declared the winner as having had the most recent correct prediction out of the two punters. IF WINDYROG scores six points in the final game and bristol407 scores 7 points (including correct goalscorer), the positions would be tied. Therefore unless another predictor scored more points to take top spot, then WINDYROG would be declared the winner, as both punters shared a recent correct prediction, however, WINDYROG claimed the most recent one directly before that. Complicated you bet! I just hope someone wins it outright on points, rather than having to go through the tie break stats. Maybe you need more than 6 points to catch the leader, then predict wisely for example: 1-3 goals in a game and a correct SCORE LINE prediction = 6 points ie 1-1, 2-1, 3-0 etc 4-7 goals in a game and a correct SCORE LINE prediction = 9 points ie 3-1, 2-2, 4-3 etc 8+ goals in a game and a correct SCORE LINE prediction = 12 points ie 4-4, 5-4, 6-2, 5-4 etc Then add an additional one point for every correct goal scorer predicted. But remember these are only included as additional points IF you get the score line CORRECT. You may also predict Shrewsbury goal scorer(s) to collect those points. You will only get 2 points for a correct outcome, for example your scoreline is wrong but the outcome is correct. No goal scorer points can be earned in this scenario. Unsure about the rules? Whoa...close or what! Whoever wins, it will be a Gills success and good luck / best wishes to everyone. Still out in my hut in the middle of nowhere in a hot place. So the prediction league has been a highlight (win or lose). Regardless of the outcome ...a big thank you has to go to BRB for his continued efforts. Any end of season or close season meet up for a drink been considered?
