Good luck. I've never tried. A USB mouse might be more useful. The main problem is isolating elements from their original images, going round the edges with a soft eraser, but there's plenty of stock images available for things like the club emblem.

quite difficult, I'd recommend using a mouse. I'm a bit of a photoshop master (although nothing i've posted up here is my own work, I tend to do flashy signatures/Website backgrounds & splash images) If you have trouble cutting from background it may save you some time to look for pre-cut PSD's. I used to use W4L-GFX until it went down.
http://www.officialpsds.com is a good site but not much there in the way of football PSD's. lots of other stuff though
