    Morning Everyone,

    Who saw the Suarez bite?

It was pretty obvious, unless you're the ref!!!

    What should his punishment be?

Would it be too harsh to throw Uruguay out of the World Cup?

Would it be more fair to just ban Suarez for the next 10 World Cup games in the future?

Perhaps he should see his day in Court?

What would happen if you bite someone on the street?

Nicola Salerno has indicated that he is close to being named as a sporting director at Leeds United.

"Leeds? It's a life choice, my first experience abroad but with an Italian owner," Salerno told Tuttomercatoweb.

We can expect an influx of Italian players!!!

Morning all. Saw the bite and FIFA holding an enquiry so his World Cup is likely over. Uruguay shouldn't be sent home. Rodgers also holding a meeting with Liverpool owners today re Suarez apparently. Question now, is there an open top bus awaiting return of England team having finally secured a point and will Woy be knighted for his contribution to the England World Cup campaign

Morning ... Suarez is a very dishonest player, its in his nature to cheat and he doesn't give a fcuk ... I first saw his antics at the 2010 WC when he punched the ball off the line against Ghana ... he already has two convictions for biting and received bans in each case, now its time for FIFA to act and ban this thug from ALL football for two years ... if I bit someone at work I'd be arrested and receive a criminal conviction, after all its assault ... if I then did it three times I'd be banged up for a long while ... this latest action simply does not belong in society never mind on a football pitch ... this guy is a millionaire, earns stupid money and is supposed to be a shining example to young 'uns, but this is not what football needs ... if he gets a short Internationals only ban then what does that tell kids? How long before we hear of a kid biting another's ear off? Lock this thug up!!! No doubt Victimpool will reward him with yet another new contract the useless cnuts!!

As for Salerno, I'm not holding my breath ... ultimately Cellino will decide who signs for us, and so far we haven't heard a single quality name linked with us, while targets we'd have liked to see at Leeds are all being snapped up by clubs who normally wouldn't be able to compete against the lure of Leeds ... it's close to the end of June and all that's happened is Peltier's been paid off so he could join Udders and we've had a firm bid for McCormack ... oh, and there's some lower league and extremely lower league players being mentioned as potential signings ... it is a genuine worry looking at how things have gone so far, I mean Junior Lewis as a coach at Leeds? Really? Sigh ...

I read somewhere this morning that the documented FIFA sanction for spitting on an opponent is six games. Maybe they never got round to adding biting to the rule book, but biting has to warrant more than that, even as a first offence. Unless FIFA dream up some not guilty verdict, his world cup is clearly over. Throwing Uruguay out of the competition wouldn't be fair, but neither would seeing Suarez trotting out to play for whatever club he is at in less than eight weeks' time, only banned from internationals for up to two years following a world cup. That would be a let off. FIFA need to coordinate a ban with UEFA and the FA so that it matches his actions in football as a whole.

Lighten up Billy ffs, there are plenty of good players in the lower leagues who would be more than good enough for a mid table championship side like us. Players will be coming in, the Hock and Cellino have already said as much. All these players that have gone elsewhere is cos we were never after them, the club decide who they sign not the fans.

    Morning Eire,

He physically assaulted somebody, completely unprovoked. FIFA need to impose a ridiculously harsh punishment to show the World how unacceptable his behaviour was. Uruguay should be sent home, and 1m fine for Suarez.

Morning all. The two worst things you can do as a footballer is to spit and bite a fellow player. I didn't see the Uruguay game, but if the vieo evidence is that conclusive, Suarez should be banned for the rest of this WC and for Uruguay's qualifying games for the next WC.

On Woy, I hope the FA tick with him to allow him time to build a decent team for the Euros. Gerrard & Lampard will move on. Henderson and Wilshire will form the basis of our defensive midfield with plenty of attacking options. Of the back 4, I would imagine all 4 positions will be up for grabs, and Cole probably now wishes he'd not acted like a spoilt 3 year old.

On Leeds, really hope we see some incomers soon as well as a few others being paid off or shown a working concrete mixer and the construction site for the new M69.

Morning Billy, I reckon Selerno will make a real difference, and hope fully we will sign 3 or 4 quality people.

We are told Suarez is a lovely guy. People need to cool down and be a bit more rational about this. Look at the man's teeth. He leans forward to give chielini an affectionate kiss on the shoulder and oops, his outsize gnashers get in the way. We should show sympathy for the poor goofy tw*t, not castigate him for his dental deficiencies.

A pundit here came up with the ideal Suarez solution, a visit to the dentist, then give him back his teeth after he finishes each match, simple

Morning Yorkie ... what I'm saying about players is we must look at only signing players better than those we have, and honestly signing yet another left back from a non league club isn't going to cut it ... we have spent far too many summers signing poor players to long contracts and its meant we have gradually regressed as a club .. if Cellino wants this club to move forward then we must sign quality players not "hopefully he will turn into Messi" ... oh, and another thing, Leeds did go after Rowe for example, but he chose Wolves with Barry fcuking Fry going public and stating that Wolves would be a much better choice than Leeds if the lad wanted to improve his career ... says it all really

Um Milky. A different take on the incident. But expect a somewhat less balanced approach from our liberal minded and thought-provoking press. By the way, can one buy stocks an gallows on e-Bay? Think I may have found a use for them!!!

That was Brady, Dunphy say he just wanted a bit of Italian..<ok>

Morning all. Suarez is trying to engineer a move to Spain, he's a rich man so even if he was banned playing football for 2 yrs(can't see it happening) he's hardly going to be slumming it. I think he's got mental issues, maybe a priest bit him at communion..

The World Cup is the blue-chip, flag waving advertisement for the game, where kids from all around the world watch matches and hope to be as good as their idols someday. Suarez should be made an example of by FIFA and given a 2-year ban, but even if they do he will still be allowed to play in the prem. So although he will get Uruguay knocked out in the next round because of his absence, he still gets to earn loads over here. His agent was yet again touting him around Spain and Real Madrid were supposed to be putting up £45m for him, Liverpool will see their star value be eroded .... tough.

England situation was bound to happen because Woy left Terry at home even after he was bar far the best CH in Europe last season and he also left cashley at home for some reason. By the way 3 of our conceded goals came down the left where cashley would have mopped things up. You do not leave out 2 of your 3 world class players without being screwed at this level. Woy, you're a dick mate

Underwhelmed that we are being mentioned for players from Orient and Maidestone, when players like Rowe and Burke etc, go elsewhere. Plenty of championship clubs have already taken top end players and loanees from the prem I just hope Cellino has things under control and really knows what he's doing because his Ferrari could end turning into a Reliant Robin

The example that a professional football sets is very influential. It is inexcusable. Pleased Italy are out. Many believe Italy put a weak side out against Costa Rica so England would not qualify
