Although my youngest daughter is 19, she's never been to the smoke. I'm taking her on the 8th August and coming home on 13th. Staying at my mate Nenon's flat in Hornsey.

So, other than the galleries and museums, what are cheap touristy things to do down there? I'd actually quite like go to the Tower but I gather there are a lot of stairs, and I don't mix well with those <yikes>

    Any suggestions?

    You lazy git! <laugh>

London Eye is a little over priced imo (think its about £20 a ticket), though the view is awesome.

You can catch a West End show for a decent price nowadays too.

Madame Tussauds you can get tickets for as little as £15 per adult if you book online before hand.
(if you pay at the door its like £40 or something stupid.) You cant go to London without going to Tussauds or the Tower!

Buckingham Palace is around £20-£25 per person, but you get to see the Queens Gaff and all her bling!

The British Museum is the balls, and it is totally free (if you are the stingy sort that doesn't make donations).

Feel it's now one of my duties as a mod to look after the vulnerable on our board. I reckon I can keep her busy for a good few days. I'd even suggest RHC doesn't need to come down at all!

If anyone is in the London area around that time, I'll be more than happy to arrange to meet up. I'm keen to add to the list of posters I've met, which is currently only the sheep-shagger, Tunns and Swarbs. Saint threatened it, but it hasn't happened yet <laugh>

My eldest lives in the smoke, she's out virtually every night with the aid of some wowcher offer or other.

Sign up as there's loads of stuff offered around the smoke, nice restaurants, events etc etc.
