I have forgotten who I jibed with on this issue. I suggested it would be a 4 page token effort. Walking up Anlaby Road last night...I had a large taste of humble pie in the palate. It was an excellent programme and a great gesture from the club. Well done to them. To however it was I bantered with, fair play, you were rght. Nice to see Steve Bruce describe us as Hull City. Ditto Curtis "at long last" Davies. Shame the Assem and Ehab contribution couldn't call us by our name...preferring "the club". Regardless...an excellent momento.
Sell out crowd, free souvenir A4 prog (price £3), a win at home in Europe - what's not to like? Could have sold 30,000 tickets last night.
Haven't read it yet. Come to think of it I haven't read the enormous feature book for the FA cup final either yet. Think I'll sit down and flick through last nights program tonight. Must say when I saw what it was like I was surprised and impressed, I was expecting something along the lines of what we were given for the away leg, if a bit bigger with a bit more in it, but not much.
Steady on, I'm not used to reading positive comments from you. Are you feeling alright? I do agree though, I thought it was excellent for a freebie.
huddlestones highlighted quote "it's important to start well tonight, if we can make a positive start and put them on the back foot rigbt from the off" that worked
Clearly the marketing big hitters at the club last night got caught out. On a different note, the Umbro t shirts in the shop are not as good as the previous Umbro era. The diamond is iron on and will soon wash off. Not HCFC's fault and Adidas no better.
But Mousie, thou art no thy-lane, In proving foresight may be vain: The best laid schemes o’ Mice an’ Men Gang aft agley, An’ lea’e us nought but grief an’ pain, For promis’d joy!
Ellewoods, Do you want a copy of last nights programme? If you do, PM me with your address and I'll post you my copy. No charge.
I didn't either, but as I turned up just as the game kicked off (couldn't leave work early enough) I have no complaints. Contacted the club and they said if I bring the match ticket into the club shop they'll give me a free copy. If you want one its probably worth an email and I'm sure you'll get the same response.
I wouldn't mind having one because it's an important event in our club's history. I actually got there a full hour before kick-off, no programme under my seat though.
in dedication to our triumph i'm watching hostel.. these slovaks are a nasty bunch did tickler return?
