    Some of the younger posters may not remember some of these, but I thought I'd post a few sporting theme tunes and open a vote as to which you think is the best. If there is any interest in this vote then I'll do a few more in different categories and put the winners in a final vote (which I might make global) It depends on the interest - it's your forum after-all!


    So for the first category, to test the water, I have gone with "General Sports Programs.

    There are four choices. Please feel free to comment, but it's votes that count, so please vote for your favourite.

    Out of those, it's got to be Sportsnight, with.....pause for effect..... Harry Carpenter.

    My personal all time choice is Soul limbo. Who could not fail to be roused from their malaise, when hearing it, with the promise that cricket was to follow?

    I like the Grandstand one. Very nostalgic for me. The other one that has been running for ever is ski Sunday. It's a good theme, only slightly irritating because there is a guitar playing a harmony line and it's about a quarter tone flat all the way through!

    My 2 favourites aren't there, so nothing for me to vote for.

    They are "Drag Racer" by The Doug Wood Band (The BBC Snooker theme), and the theme tune to Ski Sunday

    The Ski sunday music is called, Pop goes Bach, I think.

    i prefer time is tight but it wasnt a sports one, wait there and ill dig out a youtub for the younger bods.

    I have feeling that the tune for Ski Sunday was chosen by votes from viewers of the 6PM BBC1 classic, "Nationwide". Damn, I am really showing my age now!

    Guitar is horribly flat, so if you aren't suffering bell-induced tinnitus, listen out for it.:)
