Yes. If it replaced the Carling Cup then yes. Makes it a bit more interesting rather than just a 2nd rate FA cup. Include the Welsh teams too for maximum destruction over them all haha. The sight of any English team destroying Celtic or Rangers in a competitive game is simply immense!

The funny thing is Sunderland would probably lose to both.

If Rangers or Celtic (or both) were in the premiership, they'd probably get relegated, or finish around about 13th downwards. Rangers bought David Healy for money!

Well considering Celtic have 2 useless ex-sunderland strikers in Stokes and Murphy who wouldn't come close to our squad now even though we only have 1 fit striker. Then you look at the SPL XI otherwise known as Middlesbrough rotting away in the Championship. Yeah I fancy my chances.

If they won't scrap the Carling Cup altogether they should definitely consider this. I'd like to see it. Good idea.

SPL XI? Considering Boyd got dropped every big game for Rangers, McDonald scored when he played but was never really fancied by Mowbray, Barry Robson never really played for Celtic and there aren't much, if any, other Old Firm players in their team, I'd say calling them the SPL XI is not very accurate, if at all.

Luckily for everyone, I didn't claim anything I wrote to be factual, even though it is.
