There's no way the club would be moved to Melton. It's the allams tactics for dealing with the council, if they offer what look like viable alternatives then it may stregthen their bargaining power.

It really looks like the Allams have to put a firm £££ offer in to the City Council. This all appears to be a part of the softening-up process......

That's just the usual process though, if the council aren't actively looking to sell then they would be unlikely to be the party to commence negotiations. It has to be up to the allams to start things. Having said that, it would be nice to imagine there'd be some degree of discussions already having taken place/

I suspect we'll see some movement after the elections on thursday and during the closed season, although Melton isnt inconceivable as Bolton's Reebok Stadium is some distance outside of Bolton

It looks very impressive, but I wonder why the Allam's still haven't actually spoken to the council about buying the KC. If they want to buy the ground, it might be useful if they actually made an offer for it at some point.

I suspect thier waiting to see if they are going to have to deal with a Lib Dem or Labour run council first.

Or the council are refusing to discuss it until the elections are out of the way for fear of how the public would react to it's sale.

I've spoke to Carl Minns a few times - he's actually into his sports and is in favour of bringing back terracing.

From what I've heard, The Lib Dems would be happy to sell at the right price with a contract that benefits everyone of Hull (i.e. 'X' amount of land can't be encroached onto, Hull FC can't be kicked out, a new site for Hull Fair must be found etc...), Labour are of the opinion they don't want it to go ahead, but are happy to sit down with Mr.Allam and allow him to change their minds (which I'm sure he's capable of giving a good go).

So, it looks like the South Stand car park is going multi-story. From that image it looks like 2/3 levels.

They would need to vastly improve the roads around the KC if that was to happen, otherwise by the time you get out of the car park it will be time for next weeks game.

Also, only judging by the small image on that article, it looks like they haven't mirrored the West stand, just extended the South, East and North to a greater height. However, there does appear to be "Towers" outside the stands, similar to the ones you use to get to the upper-west, so perhaps there is another tier in all the other three stands, just not the same style as the West. Not the best idea for atmosphere?

Or have no intention of actually doing any of this and are just getting the fans on board? Remember we had all of this with Duffen and the new training ground, look where we're training now, still!

We don't fill the stadium we're in now, I'd rather he got us a training ground and good youth facilities, and then look at the Stadium.

Also, I think that when he dies/sells the club it should go back to council ownership, as what you need to remember is that it wouldn't be the club owning the ground, it would be the Allams.

I suspect that the KC would be owned by the club rather than the Allam's personally, otherwise they couldn't use the ground as security to fund player purchases etc.

So you are saying that they invest millions into a project then at some date give it back to the council. Good business.

If it's the club owning the ground, then we keep it, no problems. But if it's Allam, then look at how other clubs have gone from selling their ground to an owner, there are so many examples.

As I said earlier, the KC should be 4th in the list of where to spend his money if he's willing to invest it. (Training ground, youth set up, team, KC - in that order)

probably right on the money, give the new council a month or so, then we'll probably know a great deal more. there are a massive amount of issues associated with this and it would be difficult to gauge the views of all the stakeholders involved. the time for controversial decisions is when new elected members can have a say on the things they based their respective campaigns on.

Brilliant, well thought out sports village.

The Council must give way to the Allams wish to purchase the KC Stadium and develop the area, and rid us of the areas eye sores.
This area along with the Fair Ground needs Cash spent on it, the council does not have it, future cuts mean that the area will be a bigger embarrassment then it is now.
The Council needs to sell, raise the cash to regenerate other areas, if the KC is not earning money for the council then its time to
talk to the Allams, if you agree it should be developed then let your councillor know, after all they represent your interests, and not waste cash on consultations to see if it is the right decision.

Hull Fair once a year brings mayhem to the area no parking, local residents inconvenienced etc.
I agree that the Fair is a special event but, time moves on the atmosphere of Walton St is long gone, we cant live in the past thinking of what was.

A fantastic new show ground at Melton easy access all purpose built, there is no limit as to what the area has to offer once constructed.
All the new jobs being created in Hull by the wind turbine company's, new Hotels, and the chance of this sports village, HULL is going to be a place people want to come to rather then bypass.

We owe it to the future of our children, the chance for Hull to be come a City which we can be proud of so grab this opportunity while we can, enjoy the new developments.

Think of all the employment which will be created, dole claims down a regular income, the future looks great.

As all the excitement grows over the regeneration of our Football Team , and the ambition of returning to the
Premier League, great young talent being sourced ,the emphasis on Youth Development in sports , the facility's on offer.
This is not a dream it can happen.

Do we have a right to turn down this only exciting thing to happen in HULL for the past 60 years.

The Allams and Hull City Council, East Riding Council must get together and agree to put plans into operation.
Look to the future and say thanks to the Allam Family for giving us the chance.

OK then, the club are going to buy the KC.

How? We've almost gone bust in the last year, and now want to borrow £100Million to buy the KC and make a sports village (which will bring minimal benefit to the club). We have no assets other than players, and we can't borrow money against them.

Or is Allam just going to give the ground to the club.

    It's all hot air.
