Semedo linked with Sheffield Wednesday

Big story on a lot of Wednesday boards is that Jose is set to sign. Source appears to be a local journo up there who is deemed to be fairly reliable. Apparently Semedo's brother and sister reside in Sheffield. Many of their fans unsure of who Semedo is and most seem to want Racon, though more recent posts show they desire a strong defensive midfielder. Wherever he ends up I'm pretty certain we've seen the last of Jose in a Charlton shirt.

 

Ouch, didn't expect that, not sure I believe it though. We have more ambition than Wednesday and similar money, plus Semedo's closer family (I.e his missus and kid) live down here. Not to mention his love for the club, very strange if true.

 

Semedo's agent is working hard to get him a better offer from Charlton isn't he. First Crystal Palace then one of our biggest threats in L1 who next? Wycombe Wanderers

Semedo's neice also lives down here as she used to work in my office until quite recently so i'm not sure about his brother and sister residing in Sheffield especially as she's grown up around here too

 

AllHell, when you say that Semedo's agent is 'working hard to get him a better offer from Charlton', that implies we've actually made one. As far as I can make out, we're just quietly letting him drift away.

It's a sad fact, but if he doesn't figure in our plans for next season, we're going to have to accept that's the last we'll see of him.

It would hurt to see him not progressing. If he was to go it needs to be higher

 

Don't think so Tweaks, as I understand it we have made offers to Semedo & Racon at the higher end of our new salary structure but this is considerably lower than their last deals. My guess is that their agents are working to get better deals for them via the media.

I can't understand what Wednesday can offer that we can't, surely their wage budget can't be much higher then ours?
